How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewVery nice view and local experience
It doesn’t look like the pictures. I would like to say that the owners were very nice, but at the end they carged us a total of 48€ for one night for 2 people including breakfast and 2 beers, which seem quite expensive for what we got (no electricity, dirty toilet/ shower and no hot water) especially when the website states that breakfast would be 5€ per person. Overall it was an interesting experience but felt a bit like they were taking advantage of us.

Verified reviewThis rental is run by a nice couple. You have the option to choose the cabin if all of them are available. If so, make sure to choose the one that face the lake. It's so beautiful cabin with a window view to the lake. There is nothing better than seeing stars above the lake at night and then in the morning wake up seeing the lake. I would also recommend to have dinner and breakfast cooked by hosts. It's very affordable and the food is so delicious. By this you can also taste some local dishes with the ingredients that are locally produced. The hosts are very friendly, they know some English words so you can communicate what you would like with them. Also messaging in booking.com also works and you get instant replies. Few tips: No internet at the lake. You can get it at 500m from the lake. Host can give you the location details. No electricity in the cabins, but you can ask the host to charge your phone at their house which has solar powered sockets. If you stay at the cabin facing the lake, shower is under the cabin...you can ask for the key from the host. Same with the bathroom location, but it's not locked. I would definitely recommend this place if you love spending few nights with lake view without any distractions from outer world.

Verified reviewThe food tasted amazing and was affordable from the restaurant
We booked a beach front cabin and unfortunately they have all been moved away from the lakeside due to legal issues. Still only a 1 min walk to the lake but none have a view of the lake. Different from photos. We were told they will be moved back lakeside next year.

Verified reviewWe were welcomed with the warmest hospitality we could have wished for. Our hosts prepared delicious traditional dinners and breakfasts for us on both days. The outdoor benches were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings, both at midday and in the evening.
Maybe have some maps available for hiking in the area.

Verified reviewOur hosts Dragan and Zorica made sure that we enjoyed the timeless beauty of the mountain pastures in warmth of their heartfelt hospitality. Days started with homemade breakfast that used produce from their grain fed chickens, cows grazing on medicinal herbs (some 300 varieties grew there) and freshly made hot ‘priganice’ with strong coffee. We walked the many drovers roads through stunning landscape that changed little in hundreds of years, and swam in the glacial lakes. Meals were tasty and there was plenty for vegetarians, served at the time of our choosing at their garden overlooking the lake. Sun was shining and days were pleasantly warm but evenings were cool and refreshing. The hosts treated us to homemade juices and raki. They embraced us like family. Cabin was wooden and cosy. So many stars in the sky! We can’t wait to be back. We were refreshed in both body and soul. I can’t recommend this place enough, simple living at its best!

Verified reviewIt's an amazing place with a perfect view. Small bungalows for the amateurs but they are cozy and atmospheric. The breakfast was delicious. Owners are welcoming and kind people.
The way was completely complex. We broke our car because the Google map showed the wrong way. Not enough tables with direction and the lake is not good for swimming. Toilet was dirty.

Verified reviewThis is perfect if you are wishing to switch off and be off grid for a bit. The drive in is spectacular, but please make sure you choose the ‘main road’ way. Google maps sent me down a goat path and it’s only suitable for dirt bike riders (which thankfully I am). There’s no one alone the way to help if you get stuck. The property is basic, no phone reception, wifi, electricity or hot water. But sometimes these things are not needed. The food was excellent and the beds were comfortable, so I was very happy.
Nothing bad from me, however if you like certain comforts, this is not for you. This is rural. The bathroom is very very basic… and could benefit from a small upgrade.

Verified reviewThe bungalow was cozy with a nice view of the lake, and the bed was super comfortable with enough blankets provided to keep me warm during the October night. The hosts were extremely friendly, hospitable, and welcoming; they did a great job creating an environment where the guests could easily bond with each other. I met a couple from Estonia and a pair of friends traveling from Podgorica and we all became friendly while eating dinner together around the kitchen table. While were were chatting afterward, our host brought out the rakija. I definitely recommend ordering your meals from the property; I didn't notice any local restaurants nearby, and the host is a wonderful cook who prepared comforting, hearty meals for us. There's some nice walks starting from the property, and the drive to the property follows a pretty route on a paved road. There's no cell / mobile data service by the lake, but the Estonians said they were able to get service by climbing a little ways up the slope. Also, there is no electricity in the bungalow (though the hosts thoughtfully provide little battery lights that you can use while getting ready for bed in the dark, and they let me borrow one of their flashlights for a while), so plan your electronic usage accordingly. There is electricity in the main house kitchen area, but they use solar panels and there aren't a lot of outlets. I was able to charge my phone during dinner, but I wouldn't count on being able to charge all your electronics. This isn't a bad thing; personally, I loved my time by the lake and found the environment restful. I can't wait to go back! Note: I think everything was great value for price and I was very happy with my stay and can't wait to go back soon! But just a heads up, the bathroom facilities are rustic.
