How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.

We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Verified reviewBreakfast was ample and very tasty. They had a local music group playing one dinner, which was a lovely insight into local culture. The property was spotlessly clean, as was the beach. The sunsets from Long Beach were phenomenal and we saw shooting stars. It is a remote location - which is great if you want to relax, although the hotel can organise transport to wherever you want to go.

The food, the rooms, the hospitality, the friendliness, the cleanliness and of course the cocktails exceeded all our expectations. We left with very heavy hearts, but we are grateful to have made new friends who even feels like family to us now. Our hearts are full!

Verified reviewWe enjoyed a delicious breakfast spread which was served by the friendly staff each morning. The comfortable bugalows, set in a beautiful garden, were right on a long and quiet beach. The resort offered a number of excursions which were well priced. We enjoyed our Tanikily and Komba excursion. Hermann also organised a private excursion for us to Hell-ville. Thank you, Hermann and your amazing staff, for a memorable stay at your special place in paradise! We will be back!

They are super friendly and helpful and really made our stay a comfortable one. The pool area and surrounding greenery is just breathtaking. Verified reviewThe staff was excellent first and foremost: sincerely kind & helpful even before asked. Super cleanedly rooms even though right at the breach front: spectacular view to wake up to. Great food and small playground for the small one, also loved playing pool on the beach. Arrangeer a taxi last minute for pick up at 2.00 in the night.

Verified reviewHermann the owner was always helpful and friendly. The staff were extremely friendly and they always had a smile on their faces. Food was delicious. Beds were comfy. Shuttle service from the airport were comfortable and always on time.Having the ocean a few meters from your room.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was terrific. The fruit juice was fresh daily. We enjoyed the extra eggs. The nutella crepes were the best. The staff were just very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and the fans were very helpful in dealing with the heat. The bed nets were of great quality and kept the mosquitoes away. The pool was spotless. The shuttle to and from the airport was very timely and professional. I would highly recommend this quiet beach and this wonderful resort.

Our location directly on the sandy beach was deliberately chosen by us away from the traffic so that guests can enjoy their vacation. We have numerous options for getting into the city. We did not sleep well because there is no air-conditioner and the weather was very hot.

This is not a dislike, but it's quite remote, so you'll need transport to get anywhere!

The breakfast was the same everyday and only offered pastry with tea/coffee and juice. No cereal,eggs sausages e.t.c. The restaurant food in general was bad,very tasteless
