Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalThe hotel’s restaurant was super small and not very pleasant. It offers takeaway food and daily specials at very low prices. We ordered three daily specials and one pizza. The person who ate the pizza and the zebu dish had stomach issues right away, and I ate the duck dish and ended up with diarrhea for three days. I wouldn't recommend eating at this restaurant. Additionally, on Booking.com, it showed that we could pay for the hotel with a credit card, but this option wasn’t available when we arrived. However, you can pay in Ariary (the local currency), as well as in Euros or Dollars.
We had a huge room with two double beds and a very large balcony. The Wi-Fi was good, and the staff were very helpful. The bathroom was a bit small and not as pleasant as the room, but it wasn’t bad. Overall, the staff were very helpful. In the morning, we could observe the movement in the street and the local life. The nearest beach isn’t touristy, which gave it a more authentic vibe.

South KoreaI want to thank Olivia and Ronald at the reception. They were both very kind and efficient. Olivia especially helped me with the Tsingy tour. She provided detailed assistance with the travel itinerary and expenses, went with me to buy Tsingy tickets, and helped me with the money transfer when the reserved accommodation required some prepayment. She also took me to a store to buy water in Morondava, saying that it would be more expensive to buy it at the tourist sites. Thanks to the driver Heri whom Olivia arranged, I had a safe and enjoyable trip.

United StatesI can't think of anything I didn't like. For the cost, it met and exceeded my expectations in some regards; no frills but good food and nice staff.
The location is convenient to the beach but my first preference is the professionalism of the staff and owner; friendly and efficient. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and any questions or requests were answered. Good sized room with a nice (?) view of the street and markets. They even offer room service. Only thing that would have been good to know is the restaurant / kitchen closes on Monday afternoon to give employees some rest. I didn't plan my dinner well that day :-)

United KingdomI rated it 8/10 for two reasons (otherwise was even a 9): • The only room left on Booking when I reserved was a double room with a terrace, but there was no terrace, just a window. • Another downside was that all the rooms for the driver were fully booked, and our driver couldn’t stay overnight. I know this isn’t really their responsibility, but in all the other hotels we stayed at, there was at least a separate room or space for the driver. It would be nice if they could solve this, especially since there aren’t many hotels in the area considering the amount of tourism. In the end, we kindly offered our driver a room at another hotel.
The hotel is excellent for the price-quality ratio! Really cheap with a super central location in the village. The rooms are huge, clean, with hot showers, electricity – everything you could wish for in Madagascar. The staff is really lovely, and they even welcome you with a Baobab juice (which honestly tastes better than the one sold at the Avenue of the Baobabs!). They also offer breakfast in the morning, which unfortunately we missed as we had to leave early – but the smell of fresh baked goods was amazing. No mosquitoes, mosquito nets, or coils anywhere in the hotel!! WAS PERFECT! I definitely recommend it.

BelgiumThe stairs to go up aren’t quite practical if you have a heavy luggage. Otherwise I have nothing negative about this place. I’ve stayed here twice and everything was just perfect. Their food prices are really affordable
The cheapest hotel I had in Madagascar. Unbelievable how they managed to give such low price while the rooms were so big with balcony and high speed wifi inside the room. They are opened 24hours—I arrived in Morondava at 1:30AM after a long trip with Soatrans. Also, they can arrange a vehicle with damage driver to Tsingy Bemaraha National Park.

United KingdomA kettle in the room maybe
Lovely location close to the markets and beach abd on a quiet street whose main traffic is the gentle sound of rickshaw. Was a bit worried about the mosque next door but no call to prayer! The tourist eating places are only 10 minutes walk away and I really warmed to the gentle rhythm of this town. There's a rooftop area to dry clothes so perfect for the budget traveller.
