Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

No bad points.
Clean, spacious and new apartment, which includes all amenities. Very friendly and courteous host. Quiet location within walking distance to main town and beach. There is a very good fruit and vegetable shop near the apartment.

The apartment is clean and brand new, we really enjoyed our stay - it has everything you need and more! The location is perfect, near to the main sights.There's also parking within the building, which was really convenient for those who are driving. The host Burim and his team is super accommodating and responsive, always ready to help. Thanks for making our stay in Ohrid memorable!

Realy nothing.
A real pearl. The apartment and the host deserve more than a 10. The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped. Hygiene is at the highest level. It has it's own private parking space and is on a walking distance from the centre and lake. We have not enough words for the host. He is so kind and warm and always there to help you.

In the centre of this beautiful city (Ohrid) these appartments (we booked 3 appartments, 3 families) are a real pearl! Spotless clean, spacious, in an excellent position (3-5 minutes on foot for the heart of town) and in full compatability with the photos and the descriptions and with all the amenities that someone could wish... The revelation is the kind and helpful host, who is available and attending always! We are so glad and gratefull that we have met the people and have spent time in this unique appartment! Thank you very much for everything!

This is a very modern, very clean apartment, right on the edge of Ohrid’s touristic Old Town. Even better, it has onsite parking that is very easily accessible. Also must make mention of the graciousness and generosity of the host. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you very much for making our visit to Ohrid such a memorable experience.

We had a wonderful time at the apartment, which had great facilities including a lift and a washing machine. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, making it a cozy and inviting place to stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Burim, the owner, was amazing and an exceptionally generous host who helped us with whatever we needed. He went far above and beyond our expectations, providing local tips and recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. The apartment is a short walk to the old bazaar, beaches, main harbor, all the major sites (incl amazing churches) , restaurants, and supermarkets. The location is perfect for exploring Ohrid, with many attractions within easy reach. I highly recommend this location as it’s a fantastic way to experience and explore Ohrid. The combination of excellent facilities, a prime location, and outstanding hospitality makes it an unbeatable choice.

I had a wonderful stay at this flat! It’s in a perfect location, just a 10-minute walk to the waterfront and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and supermarkets right on its doorstep. The flat is brand new with excellent facilities, beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean. The host was lovely and made sure I had everything I needed, offering great tips for local spots to visit. Highly recommend staying here!
