Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We had an incredible stay in Ohrid, and the location was top-notch—perfect for both a relaxing vacation or just a short getaway. The apartment was spotless, with every amenity you could need: an iron, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, and a pristine bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the cable TV and espresso machine—with capsules ready—were just the icing on the cake. But what truly made the stay special was the host, Zoran. Hands down, the best host ever. He was always available, answering every message or call immediately, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The most thoughtful gesture was when he personally drove us to a restaurant instead of us calling a taxi, even though he had other commitments. It’s clear that Zoran truly cares about his guests. I’m definitely staying at his place next time I’m in Ohrid.

A little difficult to find first time! Google maps is worth looking at!
The owner,Zoran, was there to meet me on arrival to hand me the keys and explain the workings of the apartment. The apartment was spacious and spotless and had everything to make my stay comfortable. There was a slight problem with the wi-fi but Zoran was in constant touch until it was resolved. It is about a 10-15 min walk to the Port and center of the Town. There is also space to park your car. I had a great stay here and would gladly do so again!

Everything was perfect! The staff was extremely kind, they welcomed us and saw us off. The apartment looks just like in the pictures, it’s fully equipped, and the location is excellent, only 5 minutes from the city center. The parking spot is safe and spacious enough. All compliments!

Zoran was amazing! He was super helpful, friendly and generous! He helped make my partners birthday extra special. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed. It is a 10min walk into the old town and only 2mins to the lake. This is one of the best stays we’ve had and I would 100% recommend!

The apartment is very new and clean with basically everything you need. It’s located a five minute walk from the lake and has private parking. The host is extremely nice and even fixed our car window where the car got broken into in Skopje. Thank you so much. We really appreciate it.

Absolutely everything! Zoran was amazing and friendly, there to meet us and show us the apartment. A beautiful apartment with a comfortable bed, large lounge with a huge tv. A kitchen with every amenity including dishwasher and washing machine. Modern and super clean. Close to the town and restaurants and had free parking. Would recommend 100%. Thank you

The bathroom in the studio we were in is a bit small but for us it was not a big issue.
Zoran is an exceptional host who responded to any question or request we've had instantly. He provided us with extra towels and was very communicative without being intrusive in any way. We had a lovely time in Ohrid, the place is very close to the lake and a nice 10 minute walk from the old town.

Nothing. Everything was excellent!
Zoran was a brilliant host. He met us at check in and explained everything we needed to know. He arranged a taxi for us at the end of our stay and was on hand to answer any questions. The apartment is modern, spacious and clean. We couldn’t fault it at all!

The wifi was very weak when you sat outside on the balcony

We had a wonderful experience staying at Gric apartments. Zoran was an amazing host and he was very helpful with everything we needed. This has definitely been the best experience we ever had with an owner of an apartment on booking. Besides regular things like offering clean sheets and towels and helping us out with suggestions on sightseeing, he even offered to give me a ride to the doctors when I got ill one day and he regularly made sure to check if everything was okay. We really appreciated all his help and how welcome he made us feel. The apartment itself was just like the photos, very clean and very nicely decorated, we loved the bed as it was extremly comfortable and the coffee machine was something we really enjoyed using. The water pressure in the bathroom is great, so you can enjoy nice showers after a swim in the Ohrid lake. I particularly enjoyed the terrace as I had to do some work, so it wss nice to sit on the balcony while doing that. The location is also great, just a few steps from the lake, close to both sides of the beach bars and a few minute walk from the old town, and with a grocery shop just around the corner. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Ohrid, this is definitely the place you should choose.
