Special shout out to all of the staff who were incredible from the booking. We were in Ohrid for our honeymoon and the staff was above and beyond for our stay, even surprising us with a small thought on arrival. We got a detailed explanation of the city, what to see, and Stefan was incredibly helpful, particularly in arranging a day trip to St Naum on very short notice. Stefan is very responsive and helpful as is the rest of staff. Location is perfect - wonderful views of the fortress and the lake from the top of a hill and convenient for young couples travelling - would recommend.

The hotel is on a hill, so no matter where you come, its quite a walk uphill with a full stomach after a nice restaurant! Helps burn the calories though. ;)

I liked the very helpful staff and the warm owner. Everything worked fine, they did not have electricity for a day (cane back right as I was checking in), but this was out of their control.

Especially the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. There were some spider webs on the walls. When we first entered the room, there was a dead fly on the bed.

Silence and calm. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The location in the old town is nice. The room was large and spacious. The lake and city view of the room is excellent. The staff was hospitable, friendly and helpful. The streets in the old city are quite narrow, so having a parking space is an advantage. Breakfast was adequate.

The facility itself is very good and centrally situated in the old part of Ohrid, however to get to most places of interest, be it to the lake, to the fortress, to the old theater (which is really close), or to the numerous lovely old churches, or to the numerous restaurants, you have steep hills or a number of high steps, which are quant but rather tiring.

The rooms were spacious , clean, airy and bright with sunlight. We had a parking place just infront of the facility. We had a nice sitting room. The staff were very communinicative and helpful and had no problem about speaking English. We had a very nice breakfast.

The bed was a problem for us. It comes in one piece and it is impossible to tuck sheets in. The comforters (two for a king size bed) were far too small so that you can't keep them on you during the night. Pretty uncomfortable!

Villa Kale provides a good room at a low price and thus is a very good option for most travellers. Our room was relatively large. Staff were friendly. The location is excellent, uphill close to the center but removed from the crowd and the noise.

This place is wonderful. It’s in the charming old town of Ohrid which makes for a lovely walk back to the hotel after exploring the local area. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive, and also helped me get a taxi to the airport the following morning. When I was shown to my room, the view out of the window instantly made me smile. The room was spotless and felt cosy. My room had a balcony which also overlooked Lake Ohrid. I wish I had stayed longer than one night here.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, it's family owned so you can feel the family approach. The room was clean and even though they seem a bit old they are still in very good shape. The view was also great from the room. The parking is pretty close to the hotel and safe.

Wi-Fi is good and was sufficient for our stay, but maybe not recommended if you are working remotely.

Nicely located in old town. Clean rooms. Breakfast is good, served either indoors or in a cute garden. The staff were very nice and helpful, both with recommendations for Ohrid but also helped out with onward travels. Highly recommended!

This hotel is amazing. The people running the hotel is wonderful. The location is perfect. Nice breakfast that you can enjoy outside in the garden. Everyting was clean and comfortable. I would love to come back to this place! We really recommend it.

Nothing really to dislike. If you have to nitpick, strong lighting but who needs lighting with the glorious sun streaming thru the windows.

Everything! From the moment I walked in and saw that magnificent view, I fell in love with the place. I was frazzled but the bus ride to Ohrid and walking into the room just made me happy. Beautiful view with a balcony. Strong AC and clean facility. The owner and staff were so accommodating and helpful. They called and found out bus times for me, helped with suggestions and were just simply really good and kind people. I truly enjoyed it. I’m the old town so lots of ups and down but that’s the charm of it. But the views and the hospitality give it a ten. And AC during an intense heat wave. And good wifi. Ten stars! Thank you again Stefan for helping me with the bus situation! Much appreciated.
