It's not the cheapest place especially for a dorm room but it's a safe and clean place.

The dorm room is great with plenty of space. The beds have mosquito nets and there's an AC in the room. The terrace on the roof is perfect to chill. Breakfast is good too! It's clean and a safe place in a chaotic city. If you have to spend time in Nuakchot I can definitely recommend to stay in this hostel.

This was a safe and comfortable place to begin and end my trip in Mauritania. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and Sebastian, the owner, was very competent and trustworthy; open to answering any logistical questions. For one of the nights I was alone (I'm a woman in my 40s) and I felt entirely safe.

This was a great, peaceful haven in an area with a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. The beds were comfortable, the mosquito nets worked well, and the breakfast was nice. We felt safe and enjoyed our stay! Only things missing: toilet paper and towels.

An oasis in the desert. We stayed in a tent with a shared bathroom, and it was nice and comfortable. Food was good and it had a nice ambience. A good place to exchange travel experiences with other travellers and the staff was very helpful. Highly recommended.

One of my soccer jerseys (shirts) wasn’t returned when I did laundry there. If you see one of the guys with an original 2024 West Ham jersey (kit) well…that’s why I didn’t rate it 10/10 but only 9/10…unfortunately I didn’t notice it until I left for Senegal.

I ended up staying here for 3 nights - lovely place, one of the best and last (if you’re heading south) with a hostel vibe (next one is in Freetown and then nothing until Ghana). The owner made some copies of my documents free of charge and in general even the guys there were very helpful.

The level of cleaning in the kitchen.

Perfect oasis in Nouakchott. I stayed in a private cabin on the roof. The bed wasn't super comfortable but I was very happy with the mosquito net and the hot shower. We were able to use the kitchen which was a big plus. Safe parking for my motorcycle another big plus. Really cool atmosphere and friendly staff.

Nice courtyard, lots of space, interesting guests. Great hot showers. So good! Sebastien can set you up with contacts in others places and converts euros at a decent enough rate. First stayed in the dorm, then the buglaow on the roof. Very airy. Comfortable. Staff on hand, very good and a safe place. Just get your French standards up when Sebastien is not around.
