The aircondition needs cleaning!! I got sick during my stay and as soon as I used the airco I couldn't breathe. That airconditionung needs cleaning for sure. A pity as the rooms are fantastic, and so is the location

That we hadn't stayed for longer.

Everything about our stay was absolutely fantastic. The property was located perfectly for all of our needs, and the roof terrace afforded us the ideal opportunity to relax after our days out and take in the exquisite scenery and beautiful views. Our housekeeper Lindita was extremely friendly and professional, ensuring that our room was always kept at the highest of standards. I can't imagine having stayed anywhere else that could've competed with Battery House for what was an amazing experience.

The view in the sea view room was blocked quite a bit by constructions, which was unfortunate.

The facilities were really nice and modern. It was clean and organised and had anything you'd need. Early check-in was also accommodated to which was very helpful. It was quite spacious as well, so it was comfortable to stay in for a couple of nights. The location is perfect, and it's close to all major attractions.

We has 2 surprises. One that there was no manned reception (self checkin). The other was that there was no breakfast. We missed human contact...I suppose I missed this while booking.

The room and bathroom was very well designed and equipped. Everything was top quality and felt vey new/well maintained.

Better communication from the management as to how to get places, or even get a taxi. I was also given misinformation on visiting St. John's Cathedral.

I did not realize when I booked that there were only five units, and it was only a bed, no breakfast. The unit was very nice and the balcony and space in the room was wonderful. But there was not anyone to ask for restaurant recommendations, or how best to get to another area in Malta. For the price we paid I expected to have this kind of service.

The stairwell can get very echoey if people are going up and down the stairs and trying to open their doors on other floors.

A good modernisation of an old block. Best air conditioning I’ve experienced in a long long time - controllable, good cooling it worked as we always wish it would. Both the host and the Housekeeper very responsive to comments and requests.

Breakfast was not included, but there are great cafes nearby for breakfast al fresco. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful; the owner was not on site, but very responsive by WhatsApp - she answered all my questions within an hour or less. Best of all -- the location. It is in a quiet street, but very centrally located.

I wish I had known about the lift from the ferry port to the Barrakka Gardens, this lovely place is situated high up in a beautiful old part of the city and we foolishly dragged our suitcases up hundreds of stone steps. For 1 euro you can take the lift!

Battery House is in a fantastic location and was full of character and luxury too. The bed was extremely comfortable and the complementary drinks were a delightful touch

Address and signage not easy for cabs to get to. We ended up dragging our bags up and down the very steep steps once we finally found it. It’s a “virtual hotel” with only a phone number to reach staff.

Fun interesting space. Loved having a galleria. Decor was fashionable and comfortable. Wish we knew the history of the building.

Not much. If I may add to recommend: some facial tissue, a couple more hooks for towns in the bathroom, a few more hangers (we got 4); but not a biggie. Just wondering: it would have been nice if access to a terrace is open for all guests. maybe a small section of a terrace can be separated out for all to lounge. A thought only.

The location is excellent and with walking distance and close to major attractions. The owner/hostess was very responsive to questions we had. Check-in instruction was clear and simple. The cleaning lady was nice and greeted us with smiles. This very comfortable and clean condo seems newly remodeled with an elevator which is rare for lodging in the old down. We were very happy to have a glimpse of some water even the room indicates with no sea view. With the charm of old buildings in an oldtown, please note that one needs to be mindful with the stairs outside of the building (out of owner's control). With the owner's info, we found that arriving at top of the street stairs is much easier to get to the property with luggage, shorter and downhill. Again, thank you Elaine!
