Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Fabulous hotel. Stayed here before. Only issue was some facilities were not open due to being out of season. This is expected but not informed prior to stay. I would stay again, staff were exceptional.

GreeceThe parking entrance is horrible, almost dangerous. Also we booked to have parking guaranteed but one day we weren't able to find a spot. Lastly the inner swimming pool should have better ventilation. Smells too much chlorine
Nice facilities, clean room, friendly staff. The food was good as well

NorwayThe rules for the indoor pool was not respected, and afternoons were a bit caotic with several families
Very welcoming personell with superb service. Clean and modern rooms, and a truly great breakfast. Both the backyard garden pool and the rooftop pool were high quality, and offered options for sun and swimming on windy days as well. The gym was also one of the more well equipped that I’ve seen at hotels.

Very clean, great breakfast (with sparkling wine ;), polite staff, nice swimming pools (upstairs with great view), children playroom on one of the lowest floors, good location in the small village if you’re looking for a slow-life holiday, bus stop and touristic office right by the hotel, direct public bus from the airport (X1), some nice restaurants close by

United StatesI was excited for the steam room/sauna but it closed very early (7pm) every day. I feel 9pm would be more reasonable. The blond front desk lady at the spa was also very unfriendly (always seemed inconvenienced) and not accommodating which negatively affected the relaxing vibe. Our room was also in a separate building across the street from the front desk of the hotel. There were multiple buildings which did make things more confusing. This was not as ideal and convenient nor what I thought I was getting.
Comfortable, clean and overall good value. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of quality food options and drink selections (sparkling peach alcohol was a great touch). Overall friendly staff and nice hotel facilities.

United KingdomIt is in a town so there is some road noise but honestly for the price it is not something that bothers me!
I've stayed here before and always come here if I am on my own. It's perfect with a bus stop just outside. Always clean and welcoming. The only downside is that if you are in a room on the lower floors you can hear a lot of road noise. But I love watching the town wake up and go about its business so it really doesn't bother me. You can see the sea from every room I have stayed in. Will be back! xx

United KingdomI only found it a little odd that the Sauna and the Hammam was on a different level from the swimming pool but nothing really negative to point out! The experience was overall excellent!
Everything was perfect! Amazing staff, nice clean rooms! Cute bathrooms with all the toiletries. Nice spa & swimming pool! Totally recommend! Only like 20min walk away from the beach. There’s always taxis available too and there’s a few rental car shops right in front of the hotel! AMAZING restaurants as well ☺️

SlovakiaVery helpful and kind personel, beautiful hotel room with balcony and big beds. We came early in the morning, were allowed to leave all our luggage in the hotel and can discover beaches and surroundings without worries. Hotel is very well situated near the cathedral and lovely old tow streets. We were overall very satisfied here.

The hotel is so good, the entrance is too nice and the bar is amazing. Pianist playing in the evening added a lovely ambiance to the area. Room was good size and clean. Spa, indoor pool and gym were good, I only wish they don't close early. Swimming pool on the top roof is lovely, only wish it was heated. View of Mellieha from the top is amazing. Service was good.

United KingdomYou weren't allowed to take Room Towels into the Pools so had to play this odd game of going down to reception to get a receipt, taking that to the Spa to get Towels and then the reverse after. Seemed an unnecessarily complicated procedure for a couple of towels.
Located in the beautiful Mellieħa heights this hotel is perfectly placed up in the hills with decent facilities, comfort and views of the Local Church, Square and Surrounding Hills. There are a selection of Restaurants, Coffee Shops and Shops on the doorstep and the beach and bays are a short bus ride away as is the Popeye Village (if that's your thing 😀). The hotel is located on a major bus routes and Valetta, Mdina and Chikewwa are all pretty straight forward to access. The Roof Terrace offers a pool and deck with roof views and the pools unlike some hotels don't seem to shut crazily early or limit use in the winter (although the outdoor ones aren't heated so good luck 😀)

BulgariaThe hotel is splitted into two buildings, one has to walk an understreet tunnel to reach the other part of the hotel, which was our case. The pool and the so-called spa (there is only a pool and jacuzzi inside) were in the other part, and every time, we had to walk back to our rooms through the very cold corridors and the tunnel. This stopped us from using the pool at all.
The rooms were fine, the staff was nice and we really enjoyed the variety of breakfast. There is a bus stop nearby. I wouldn't call it a spa hotel, tho.
