How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Verified reviewWe stayed at this hotel twice, but during our last stay we faced a very disappointing experience at the kids’ club. Our 2-year-old son was refused entry while another parent who came after us was allowed in. The security guard wrongly accused my husband of aggression on his own initiative, even asking ‘Did you push her?’, although the staff never said anything about it. Some staff laughed at us while we were upset. The kids’ club staff were very young, unprofessional, and clearly lacked experience. The manager only offered an apology without any real solution. Very disappointing.”

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at AX Odycy. The hotel is amazing, multiple restaurants with a large choice of foods and kids friendly options. The pools and activities are great and security is present at all times. Special thanks to Rehman for their warm welcome upon our arrival and to Abinash Karki for ensuring the cleanness of our room and even making cute towels animals for our little one. Highly recommend this hotel.

Air conditioning in the room was freezing even at the weakest setting. Your only option is to shut it off which makes the room boiling.

Verified reviewReally clean and pristine rooms, lovely and mostly very friendly staff. The room had excellent air conditioning which was much appreciated given hot temperatures and a great balcony with a lovely a lovely sea view, were given a room close to ground level as requested in advance which was a nice touch as this is not always the case.. Plenty of restaurants with lots of food options. Breakfast was really good, we had that included but ended up paying extra most of the nights for the buffet which was also good despite the meat quality being a little hit and miss at times. Dipa in particular who served us most nights was really nice and friendly she really made us feel at home a well deserved so shoutout to her. Really impressive and professional attention to detail especially by the cleaning staff. Multiple pools, spa facilities, changing rooms/toilets etc. Souvenir shop and cafe on site. Very good location close to many of the top attractions including the Blue Lagoon Camino/Gozo trip starting point and the Cafe Del Mar, also only about 25 mins taxi/Bolt from the airport. Overall a really top quality hotel with good staff, a little expensive for Malta I felt but would say the value for money was there in the end.
Check in time was the longest we have ever had to wait even for the time of year, felt a little understaffed at the time, the hotel is very big but was incredibly busy for the end of August with lots of children, pool facilities were very crowded with ridiculously loud music being played in the one below during the day which wasn’t very pleasant if you can’t get a seat on the 11th floor and are just trying to relax and wind down, I don’t mind good music playing but it doesn’t have to be like a nightclub during the day! Despite being a big hotel I felt very claustrophobic at times, I would definitely go back to the hotel again given facilities, staff etc but not in the summer that’s for sure. Really disappointed we didn’t get to spend more time at the pool/jacuzzi facilities on the 11th floor which is amazing with some breathtaking views but it gets very crowded from early in the morning. People are just allowed to leave their towels down at very early hours of the morning and are just allowed to leave for the whole day and come back whenever they want, we seen some people who after 5/6 hours only came back and had the best loungers, sofas etc, this is absolutely not fair for people who actually want to stay at the hotel during the day and spend their money there. This needs to be addressed and a time limit enforced to how long loungers can be ‘reserved’, I was very annoyed by this, it’s not the staff’s fault but management need to look at this to ensure fairness to all of the guests and not just the ones who get up at 6am..

Verified reviewVery pleasent stay .Hotel staff is very helpfull, Mr.Prasad gave us all te relevant information and assistance including free upgrade of room. Hotel by itself has all you need for relaxation and family fun.There is indoor pool great for avoiding hot sun and just next to it outdoor pool with water sprinklers and water slides, great for spending time relaxing. Food choices are pleanty and diverse.Deck and keel reatourant offers great refreshments. If you want more there are couple of restorants oposite the hotel, best was Ricardo due to nice modern playground for the youngones.Also as part of the hotel there is kids playground with animators that have diverse daily entertaining program. Hotel room was spacious, clean and relaxing. Hope to come back in future.

Verified reviewThe location was amazing. We loved the hotel facilities. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much for them. Cannot fault anything . We were upgraded to Sea view room by the Reception Staff on arrival. His name was Kul. Breakfast was just amazing,so much to choose from .
The only fault I did have was the toilet paper ,could be of a better quality . And the pillows need replacing. They were all clumpy which made them a little uncomfortable.

The food was delicious and offered a wide variety, with something to suit everyone’s taste. A special mention goes to Titon, who delighted us every day with creative towel figures on our bed — these little surprises brought so much joy to our child. We would also like to sincerely thank Bandita, who went out of her way to arrange a late check-out for us due to our late flight, which made our departure so much easier. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!
The location is not the best, as there isn’t much to do or see around the hotel area. However, the hotel itself has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Verified reviewOur stay in Malta was simply amazing – probably our best holiday ever! Of course, Malta itself is stunning, with its beautiful Mediterranean beaches and incredible cityscapes, but this hotel made the whole experience unforgettable. Everything was perfect from start to finish: the staff were super friendly, the design modern and stylish, and the whole place spotless. We especially loved the adults-only pool on the 11th floor with stunning sea views (the sunbeds were a bit hard to get, but we always managed). We had only booked breakfast, but on arrival they offered us the option to upgrade to half board or all inclusive. Since we wanted to explore the island, we stayed with breakfast only – which was really good, with plenty of options (the only thing we didn’t like was the coffee machine). We also tried Trattoria Riccardo, one of the hotel’s restaurants, and absolutely recommend it. I really liked that the hotel gave us the flexibility to upgrade or dine in on any day at a reasonable cost. Can’t wait to come back.

The pools were busy and although its on the coast there isn't access directly to the sea from the hotel. anything outside of the hotel needed a bit of love, although we didn't really explore the area much as only there for 3 days.
