Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MaltaBreakfast area needs at least a ceiling fan as in Summer it gets too warm to eat comfortably.

United KingdomThe guesthouse is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Xlendi. It is down a very steep hill, which can be a bit of a struggle on the way back. (You can get a ride in a Bolt car for under 5 euros)
The guesthouse is quiet and comfortable and the staff are lovely and really helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is a lovely place to chill out.

United KingdomWe were close to the main front door (late booking) which could be noisy due to other residents slamming it at night. It wasn’t a huge issue though and as it’s a quiet area, there was really no other noise.
What a wonderful 7 days we’ve just spent at San Antonio Guest House. It’s only 13 rooms, but has 2 decent sized swimming pools and a kids splash pool, so there was always free space and loungers available. It was genuinely one of our most relaxing holidays ever, and the location was perfect. A few mins walk downhill to the bay (walk back up might be harder for those with mobility issues but was fine for us), where there are plenty of restaurants, diving shops, gelato bars and mini-marts. The mini supermarket at the bottom of the main hill is run by a lovely Serbian guy who was kind, helpful and funny. Maria and George are great - hugely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, including sorting transfers/ taxis. The continental breakfast was plentiful - granola, cereals, fruit, toast, yoghurts, freshly cooked eggs etc. They even made us a packaged breakfast and left it in the fridge as we were leaving early the next morning. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and are of a good size. I enquired about a hairdryer and by the time we got back to our room it was there. Nothing was too much trouble, and it’s worth noting that our room had mixed plugs (UK/ European) and also USB ports, so charging etc was simple. The WiFi is decent throughout the property, should you need it. Lastly, the bathrooms are new - you may think your shower is cold but let it run a minute or 2 and you’ll realise it’s not ☺️ The AC is ideal too. Thank you Maria and George, your kindness and hospitality was much appreciated and we’ll certainly be back in the future.

United KingdomFor the money couldn't complain very good value.
Very clean basic guest house good sized bedroom with comfy bed and pillows bathroom was on the small size shower toilet and sink, decent size balcony and good AC. Kettle tea and coffee in room, outside rooms in hallway was a small kitchen area with sink, microwave and much appreciated fridge, which was shared by the rooms on that floor. Also a couple of. small lounge areas scattered around in corridors Basic but adequate breakfast. You could buy large bottles of water from staff and you could order food in from local eateries via bolt. Other wise no other food available from guest house other than breakfast. very kind and friendly staff. Two decent sized pools with some sun loungers and chairs small under cover area around one pool. Would stay here again when visiting Gozo, not too far to walk into Xlendi but uphill on the way back.

United KingdomLeaving
Everything. The guest house was gorgeous and really quite quiet when we went. On the two days we spent at the pool, we had it to ourselves for the biggest part of the day - it felt like a private villa! The view was fabulous. Some nights we went up to the sun terrace to watch the stars. As many people have said, the breakfast set them up for the day. Simple yet delicious -omelette, fruit salad, yoghurt, toast, ham, cheese, tomatoes, juice, cake, pain au chocolat and local cheese and marmalade. The guest house is walking distance to the main town and all local viewpoints. The bus stop into Victoria is about a 2 minute walk away and a Bolt to the ferry cost just 10 Euros. But the biggest draw was the family and staff who ran the hotel. Anna, Maria, George and Lin made us feel so welcome. Anna, Maria and George have run the guest house for many, many years and I hope I get to go back again soon!
