I had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was very clean, well-organized, and had all the basic essentials I needed. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming — he even provided complimentary snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. All the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow, and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

What a find! This apartment was spacious, comfortable and located in a great area of the city near Chinatown with the central market, museums, waterfront all within close walking distance. Jude met us on arrival and explained all on offer - kitchen, washing machine etc- which we appreciated. A real bonus was Netflix - great to relax after a day out exploring. Thanks Jude - a great stay!

Nothing about the apartment itself, but the area makes sure you get your groceries before 6 pm. Almost everything almost closes after 6 pm, some are open but near the Victoria Station by the waterfront

Everything is Brilliant, perfect. I want to thank Mr Jude for the excellent Hospitality. It exceeded the Hospitality of 5-star hotels. The rooms are big and clean, very near to the metro and to the city center, you will find everything you need for an amazing visit to Port Louis. If you gonna visit Port Louis make sure you consider this place if you want to feel at Home

The owner, Jude, was super quick to respond to our questions and offered additional help if needed. He lives in the building so is available to assist with any needs. Jude recommended a friendly & reliable taxi driver, Abbu. The apartment is in a residential neighbourhood with on site security The apartment was very spacious. both bedrooms were large & both had balconies 2 x air conditioning units and a fan which were much appreciated. Great to have a washing machine & liquid provided. Water cooler in kitchen Wifi was excellent Late checkout was no extra charge - thanks Jude

Cleaning was a bit hit and miss. Needed to wash some of the crockery before using. Although the area was buzzing in the day it was dead at night. There were only a few traditional Chinese restaurants where you could eat and drink wine. There is a service shaft that runs through the apartments and, although our windows on to it were closed, we could still hear a lot of noise from other apartments especially early in the morning.

Spacious apartment, would have been fine for four. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and seating. We were able to check-in early, easy to find with Google maps. Sheets and towels clean and relatively new. Shower worked well, always hot water, body wash, conditioner and shampoo provided. Air conditioner and WiFi fine. We did not need to contact the owner after check in but he lives in the opposite apartment and his door was always open during the day. Two small balconies to sit out on (needed to move chairs from inside) Walking distance to supermarket, restaurants, bus station, waterfront etc.

Everything was comfortable.

Its location is near to the restaurants, bus and metro stations, central market, and the water front. Kitchen was good with all the facilities, including drinking water. Lobby and dining space spacious having large TV with internet. I enjoyed the easy chair the most. Mr. Jude is a great host. Next morning, he willingly took us for a half day trip to make us acquaint about bus and metro services. Due to this, we could go to Grand Baie, Botanical Garden, Mahebourg water front, and Blue Bay beach by bus on our own, thus saving a lot on taxis. He also arranged a good taxi for us for a full day trip to the south at good price. It was great to talk to him in hindi. Thanks, Mr. Jude.

The city of Port Louis is not an easy place to navigate if you've not grown familiar with the place. Street signs are mounted on buildings at the corners, so not easy to spot at times. I started to feel, almost comfortable, on the third day in town with driving. Google maps was not accurate to locate Wakin Residence. For future travelers the Wakin Residence is located on Etienne Pellereau St. (which is called Rue Malbar on the block before Remy Ollier St.) Between Remy Ollier St. and Royal Road. If one does a Google search for the BM Way Trading company, those directions will take you 100m SW of the Wakin Residence. Free street parking fills up quickly during the day, empties out between 1600 and 1900, then fills quickly again with people parking for the night.

Jude, the property owner, was very helpful and always available to answer questions whether the related directly to the property or not. If you drive: There is free on-street parking available along Entienne Pellereau. Be sure to not block driveways or gates of other properties when parking. Be sure to fold in both side view mirrors when parking on any street as many are very narrow. The smaller the car you rent, the lower your blood pressure will remain. Very close to half a dozen quick food places only three blocks (500m walk) awa back up toward the SSR. The Wakin Residence is also close to downtown Port Louis and the waterfront. It is an easy 1km walk. The M2 highway can be daunting to try to cross to the waterfront if walking. But if one goes to Sir William Newton St. and heads toward the M2 you will find the pedestrian underpass which takes you to the waterfront side.

A lovely stay @ Cozy apartment spacious & central location with lots of shops food .A short taxi ride to surounding eateries Port Louis Markets if you dont ike to walk. A little night life with vendors selling fruits late at night close by quite charming. Security person on sight.Night & day.

Jude was extremely friendly. Apartment is super comfortable and super clean. Walking distance from waterfront. Possible to park in front of the building. Very easy to communicate with the owner. I would definitely recommend.
