Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaNear to the beach but no beach view. Breakfast was just good enough. It can be made a bit more elaborate. Shower was not comfortable. Too small cubicle and kept struggling for hot water supply. Water pressure also too low for a good shower.
Location at the centre of island. You can move north or south easily. Good access to the motorway.

NorwayThis place is perfect for a relaxing start, or end to your stay in Mauritius. It is quiet, peaceful and with the best and most genuin staff. They are so helpful, friendly and present, but not too present if one could say. The bed is comfy, aircon works well, just a short drive from the more hectic city center of Port Luis. I really recommend this place, and look forward to next time I visit the.

United KingdomDuring sleeping hours, the night light shone out brightly that I could see the bedroom easily. I put my sleeping mask on to ease my frustration. Suggest to put blind in the bathroom to minimise its brightness.
Friendly staffs - Breakfast were ok. The bedroom looks lovely however the bed is a bit hard though. Love the surrounding internal giving me much spiritually peaceful reading book. Would love to go back again

MalaysiaAs other reviewers have said - there will be dogs barking at night. I have no issue as I grew up in a village. But I can understand some people will be bothered by the incessant barking while they try to sleep. The location actually is not near the beach and not remotely accessible. This place is nowhere near any amenities - so please be aware of this. For the price point, I can't complain. The mini fridge was not working and throughout the stay was still not fixed/replaced. A big oversight. There was a nice kettle but no utensils to eat some last minute supper. Not a big deal, just saying.
Oliver as the host was excellent and took care of me very well. Breakfast and dinner are very good. No complains there. The price per night is reasonable so that's a plus. Aircon working very well and bed is nice. Shower is nice and hot. But remember to bring your own toiletries. There is nothing else provided. Wifi is very good.

United StatesThe restaurant options for lunch and dinner are very limited and vary day to day based on the whims of the chef. There is no white wine available for purchase so bring your own.
Villa Alizee is an exceptional value if you are staying in Maritius for a night or two to transit to a cruise ship as it is close to the port. Jean Paul and his staff try very hard to accommodate your needs. Our bed was very comfortable and the included breakfast is good.

GermanyI enjoyed my short stay at the Villa, the rooom was spacious and the staff was very friendly. The owner Jean-Marc has a very personal touch is taking care of your needs. I think, the cuisine is one of the strengths of Villa Alizee. Jean-Marc has a history as gastronomy expert and it really shows in their menu and presentation. I enjoyed the dinners at the rooftop restaurant and the marvellous atmosphere. The beach is not far for walks into the sunset.
