The villa design is amazing, the staff is very helpful, and good variety of activities. The location is close to the airport. It’s just around 20 mins boat trip.

Quite a few young families with little children in which some were very winning and naughty.

The refurbished beach front rooms are beautiful and luxurious. The buffet was amazing. We didn’t get bored of it at all. The spa treatment was divine. Most of all the staff were lovely. We received world class service.

A remarkable experience only possible due to an impressive attention to detail from all the staff, from the resort host, chef, cleaning, F&B, front office, "juice" gentleman, etc! From the whitesand beach, to the villa, sunset, restaurants, new Madi Hiyaa, there are several highlights. Activities are great: snorkeling on the house reef and sister island, night fishing (and cooking it), volleyball, time really flies... Last but not least, it achieves the desired outcome with a calm and reserved experience during the stay on the island - from all the resorts we have stayed in the past this one ticks all the boxes

Beautiful island only a short speed boat ride from Male. The whole premise of the Banyan Tree is that it is an understated luxury which is perfectly in keeping with the small, intimate island on which it sits. The rooms are lovely - thatched roofs, outside (and inside) showers, great views out over the beach, great little pools and hot tubs, multiple places to sit and relax in the sun or shade, hammocks etc.. The island has a back-packer feel - sandy paths winding through the trees, sand on the floor in the restaurant. But the standard of food and amenities is exceptional and the new Japanese restaurant with it's infinity pool looking over the reef is just a brilliant place to enjoy the setting sun. What really made it special for us were the staff - truly outstanding. Helpful, smiley, engaged, attentive - particularly Sai (on the barbeque), Nafiz in the restaurant and Habeeb on the reception. If you want parties and night life or banana boats and bling - this is not the place for you. If you want to feel like you are Robinson Crusoe on a paradise Island with unparalleled service and amenities - then head for the Banyan Tree!

One word to describe this resort - exceptional. The airport transfer was seamless, no delays. When we got to the resort, they accommodated early check in. The room was stunning and we really enjoyed the private jacquzzi/pool. The room and outdoor private areas were regularly cleaned by Khaleel. There was a variety of food, all of which tasted really good. The service during meal times from Lynn was exceptional. There is also a variety of water sports. We did the screamer, dolphin cruise, paragliding, transparent kayaking, jet ski-ing and snorkeling. I have a fear of water but Yamin helped me to overcome my fear with regular encouragement and reassurance. A shout out to Mannu too for all the pictures he took of us!

If i have to find something negative is abt the dinner buffet. The variety was not very big. I would expect more for a 5* hotel. But this is the onky negative. As a plus, they had live music in the restaurant!

Everything was perfect apart from the weather! The representative of the hotel met me in the airport and took me straight to the island with the speed boat-it’s about 25’ from the airport jetty to the island. The island is like paradise! Exotic, relaxing, beautiful, surrounded by tirquoise water beach! The villa was very beautiful, super clean, with a private pool and jacuzzi, located just in front of the beach. The beach is sandy and very pretty (white sand mixed with broken corals gives an amazing colour). They offer anything u may need-snorkelling, workout sessions during the day, spa facilities, buffer menus. Also, the room offers very nice slippers, lots of toiletries and amazing aroma shower gel! A dedicated person comes twice a day to make up the room, replace anything needed to be replaced, making the bed, etc. also, they had decorated my room and they had already put a cake on my room since i arrived on the day of my bday. Lastly, i asked for late checkout and they gave me a good price which made my stay looking prolonged and i enjoyed the day i was leaving to the maximum!

The beachfront villas are amazing. Firstly, they are right on beach, with personal Cabana which is amazing to lay in shade during daytime and enjoy the ocean! Secondly the plunge pool is completely private... Food variety is very good with on demand BBQ for lunch and dinner...not extravagant but perfect for 4 night stay Sunset was amazing from our villa deck
