I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt it was absolutely necessary to share just how special our stay at Emerald Maldives was, so that others can also experience the delight of this truly luxurious island resort. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff set the tone for an unforgettable holiday. Every member of the team went above and beyond, always greeting us with a smile and anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The service was seamless, attentive, and delivered with genuine care — a rare combination that made us feel both relaxed and valued throughout our stay. The food deserves a special mention. Each meal was outstanding, with an incredible variety and quality across all the restaurants. From breakfast through to dinner, the attention to detail, presentation, and flavour was world-class — every dining experience felt like something to savour and remember. Most of all, I would like to highlight our villa host, Wisham. His attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism made our stay extraordinary. Nothing was too much trouble, and he ensured that every detail of our trip was perfectly taken care of. Wisham’s personal touches elevated our experience from excellent to exceptional, and we are truly grateful for everything he did for us. Emerald Maldives is more than just a beautiful island — it is a place where every detail is designed to create unforgettable memories. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone looking for the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. We left with full hearts and cannot wait to return.

Just a minor detail about the fish cakes and the sateh in Asiatique. These could be made more authentic. But Master Chef Aldo took immediately action after the comments. So no worries for future guests.

Emerald Maldives is a perfect mix of luxury and nature. The house reef at the side of the water villas is vibrant and full of marine life, ideal for snorkeling. We loved the paddle courts and the well-equipped gym, great for staying active. Dining was excellent, with diverse cuisines and high-quality dishes. Overall, an unforgettable stay in paradise. The resort is family owned by Italians. You can feel their soul in every detail, i.e. from interior design, sport facilities, personal attention of staff, delicious cuisine and more. All with a personal touch! Bravo to all staff and the GM Rohit Chhettri!

Nothing. Everything has been perfect. It’s the heaven at earth.

This is by far the nicest resort at the Maldives, we have ever been. Outstanding in everything! Beautiful beaches, nice restaurants and - lust but not least - our Vila Host Wisham, who did a fantastic job. Very impressive have been our snorkelling tours and the weekly gala dinners.

We had the most incredible stay at Emerald Maldives from 4–11 August, right in the middle of the monsoon season — yet we were blessed with amazing weather and plenty of sunshine! The resort exceeded every expectation with its world-class facilities, breathtaking surroundings, and the most helpful, friendly staff we have ever encountered. Everything was so perfectly organised, making our holiday stress-free and unforgettable. There were so many activities and things to do that every day felt like a new adventure. Our villa host, Sid, was absolutely wonderful — always just a message away and instantly available for anything we needed. His attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly spoiled. The dining experience was another highlight. The food was exceptional, and the service was flawless. A special thank you to some of the waiters who attended to us, Mato and Sougata, who looked after us with such generosity and warmth, making every meal feel extra special. As we were on our honeymoon, the honeymoon benefits made everything even more magical — a complimentary spa treatment, beautifully decorated room, and a romantic honeymoon dinner. We truly felt like royalty. From start to finish, our time at Emerald Maldives was nothing short of perfect. We left with our hearts full and so many beautiful memories, and we cannot wait to return. The resort features four restaurants, each offering a variety of high-quality dishes. The service is outstanding, with KD ensuring everything is perfect. The staff, including Siri, Fareesha, Nazeera, Areej, Azu, Shanoon, Sougupta, and Viyaan between others, are incredibly friendly and attentive. In the kitchen, Vikram and Sarath (the pasta master) shine, supported by top-level chefs across all dining options. A standout feature is the sommelier service, which truly enhances the dining experience. The sommeliers are not just knowledgeable; they are incredibly attentive throughout every meal. They take the time to explain the nuances of wine tasting, providing insights into each wine’s characteristics. Their recommendations are tailored to complement the dishes you choose, ensuring a perfect pairing. Sommeliers Yashi, Jey, and Shivam, headed by Jeevs, are always on hand to share their expertise, making each dining experience not just a meal but an educational journey into the world of wine. The island offers everything you could want: a professional spa, a spacious Kids Club with a variety of games, and a Dive Center with numerous activities and friendly staff. Free snorkeling gear is available throughout your stay, and there’s a water sports center for enthusiasts. Bicycles are provided at no cost, allowing for easy exploration of the resort. Our villa, with a private pool, was spacious and comfortable, and we must commend Chika for his exceptional cleanliness and thoughtful touches. As a huge foodie the food was just ok. Great selection but in general lacking flavour, I guess to try and cater to all palates.

The staff were exceptional. It is very hard to highlight 1 member as everyone was so gracious and friendly. Architecture was lovely and all the facilities were immaculate. The team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable with a room upgrade, cake and room decorations.

Having to go home. I often get to the end of a vacation and even if it's been a great time, I'm ready to go. Not this time; before I started packing, I was looking at the calendar to figure out when I can come back.

I have traveled all over the world, but this was my first time in the Maldives. Everything about it was a new experience....including the seaplane flight to the resort! I have very high standards, and I am very particular about where I stay, whether traveling for business or pleasure. The quality and amenities of a hotel/resort can make or break the stay. Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa exceeded my expectations in every way....and that's saying a lot. It's hard to believe that a place could be as stunning as it is in the photos online, but it absolutely is. The pictures are accurate, but only tell a small part of the exceptional experience you embark on when you get there. From the moment you arrive at the Male International Airport, a rep from the Resort connects with you to ensure that you move through the seaplane check-in process with ease, and that you make your flight. You get National Geographic level views as you are flown to the Resort. And upon arrival, you are greeted by lovely, warm Staff, champagne, and beauty that will stop you in your tracks. Then, your Host will greet you to whisk you away to your home in paradise & OMG the villas! Absolutely everyone at this Resort engages with guests with genuine warmth, kindness and a willingness to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. I appreciated all of the staff, but give particular mention to Julie - the Spa Manager - whom I greeted as a guest, but left as a friend. She was delightful and accommodating, which made my Spa experience even more memorable. I am especially grateful to my Villa Host Wisham, who from the moment I met him, took care to answer every question, assist with every request, and help shuttle me around the island when needed. He embodies all of the character traits you could hope for in a Host. He was communicative, punctual for pick-ups, thoughtful, kind, and diligent at all times. The spa needed a small clean as the beds next to the jacuzzi smelt of sweat

Incredibly clean and very remote, everything is accessible via a maximum 10 minute walk. Our host Shafi made it very easy to book anything we needed, his responses were rapid. Elena was always very warm and welcoming! The chef made us special dishes which tasted sublime! The rooms were cleaned twice a day which is unheard of anywhere else we had stayed previously. Not one complaint could be stated.

The Emerald Maldives resort is where we spent our honeymoon recently and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed in a water villa with a pool and it was very clean and comfortable. Staff from the Emerald resort actually met us from the airport and we took the sea plane which was such a great way to start our trip. We were then met by Sid our villa host who was very helpful throughout our entire stay. He kindly arranged a couple of private dining experiences on the beach which was a really lovely surprise for me and my new husband. Sid was always available to help with our queries on WhatsApp and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The only slight disappointment was that we didn’t get to see any animals or anything interesting on our dolphin cruise. It was purely bad luck and no one’s fault but it was a pretty long journey without any form of entertainment on the boat.

Our room was gorgeous, with both sunset and sunrise views. Went for a signature massage and it was definitely a highlight of our trip! The complimentary yoga class at sunrise on the beach was very memorable too. We received excellent hospitality from all the staff, especially our villa host Wisham who was absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to cater our needs. We had a wonderful honeymoon in the resort overall.
