the hotel is a little older and worn looking, we had no A/C and needed that fixed, our toilet cracked and water leak all over bathroom but they responded to the issues quickly.

They have issues with the air conditioning. They had to move us from our original room to another room im the middle of the night. The air conditioning of the original room did not cool the room under 27°C! And it was 34°C outside with a humidity of over 80% at the time of our stay

Super friendly and helpful staff! Every meal in our 5 night stay was fantastic and healthy. The wildlife on the property was an added bonus with spider monkeys and coati seen frequently right outside our room! Very relaxing adult vacation with modern architecture with a zen feel at the pool, spas and in the rooms. Not for those looking for a party environment ( but a short walk up the beach if you wanted that), more of a quiet, relaxing spot to be pampered at. Highly recommend and very likely to return

The showers broke for >24 hours The air conditioning was not working in one of the restaurants which made it very uncomfortable to eat in (and work in if you were a member of staff) It was quite a long way to walk from one end of the hotel to the other.

Room was spacious and clean, huge bathroom. However, the mattress is HARD as a rock, our first 2 nights we had back pain, but the staff was gracious and changed us to a newer room w/ better mattress and a bed that didn't creak. Temperature is an issue, our AC was working then stopped. It's about 27C in the room most of the time and they didn't get around to fixing that, so that was another issue. Overall everything else was amazing, the food was outstanding. The noise level was minimal, we woke up to the birds chirping, the compound is vast and we had drivers taking us from one place to another. The rooms are in the jungle with alligators, monkeys etc right outside. The beach had lots of seaweed and the waves were kind of rough but we had 1-2 days of good weather where we were able to get into the water. If you walk up the shore for about 5-10 mins there are areas that are much calmer and cleaner water w/ no seaweed. Distance from main city is about 20 mins by taxi, costs about $25, we went once, but honestly, we had everything we needed at the resort so I would just stay in the hotel. Overall 8/10 because the mattress and AC was an issue.

- A/C is not strong enough, no option to make cooler in the room - cleaning staff only does a great job if you tip - it takes multiple requests over multiple days to get things done (e.g. filling the pool, getting things sent to the room) - seaweed on beach is not cleaned up - menu is always fine dining, not very many casual options

New Bicycles desperately needed for the rooms and it’s such a shame that the outdoor bath is not very usable - the beach was out of action because of the seaweed problem this time of year so only the pool was available for cooling off and it was not clean enough.

The staff get 10/10 friendly helpful kind and very accommodating Location is beautiful and when it’s not seaweed season the beach is stunning. The food is fabulous, everything they serve tastes delicious

The bikes are old and need to be upgraded. As well there would be times staff would contact transportation golf carts to take us back to our room and they would not show up . This happened a handful of times in our 7 days there.

Blue Diamond resort is a truly gorgeous, well maintained and beautiful resort. The sensitivity to the ecosystem and environment was wonderful and we felt very fortunate to be able to experience the natural jungle wildlife like spider monkeys coati, crocodiles, iguanas, wild deer and the many gorgeous birds. So special!! However, the true stars of the resort are the outstanding staff who provided VIP service and attention. We felt so warmly welcomed and appreciated. It was so lovely to see the staff interacting so warmly with each other and they seemed to be very happy and we always heard laughter. The room was spacious, lovely and very comfortable. It was great to always have a well stocked minibar with water and drinks and the housekeeping staff always kept the room clean. Please remember to take pesos to tip after meals and daily housekeeping. The theme nights and dinners were wonderful and especially the Fireshow was outstanding and the Mexican dancers and mariachi band were fantastic. The food was delicious and varied and at Ambar men are asked to wear pants and shoes, not sandals, it was lovely to get a little dressed up. We hope we can return soon for another visit and highly recommend Blue Diamond.

We had an issue with our room (a small animal made a nest behind the walls) what made a lot of noise during a night. When we mentioned to the staff, they sent a guy who couldn't fix it, so they offered a new room for us. After all, it was a success story and they managed it professionally.

The food was very good. The service also. The staff is very friendly and polite. Highly recommend to everyone who wants to spend some time in a quite and nice place.

Rooms are very dated. Room cleaning isn’t performed with high standards (had to request to get the toilet cleaned…). Food quality is very low, and only 2 restaurants and a snack bar are available.

My room was confirmed to me as having a bathtub. I had an email confirmation stating just that. I attached that in the pics. It did not have one, and the staff were unwilling to help. Booking also did not help me and their customer service was very rude to both my husband and I. This is very important when I book a room. I would have stayed at another location with a bathtub. I really need a tub to shave my legs and relax. I do not use showers unless I have to and that is why I double checked and made sure it was in print. I expected some form of apology for the false advertisement along with a respectful refund. The Blue Diamond offered nothing and Booking offered $27. Be prepared to walk a lot. There are golf carts but getting one when you need one is not easy. Concierge rarely answers the phone. The bed is very uncomfortable. The plunge pool out on the patio is not functional making the patio appear run down. The “Water Circuit” just means the sauna in the spa along with a small pool. The seaweed is out of control during this season and this resort can't fix it because of its location. I expected a relaxing, luxury, stay. This was far from my experience.

Despite asking several times for house keeping and the minibar to service the room in the morning, they still kept turning up in the late afternoon or not at all.

Everything. Room: large bedroom with good a/c; firm, but comfortable, superking bed; plenty of storage space (and a walk-in wardrobe); huge bright bathroom; big balcony. Food: all meals very good; dinner and service at Ambar restaurant exceptional and very friendly.

Beds were a little hard for our taste but we still slept just fine.

Cenote Jr Suite was large and beautiful. Enjoyed every meal at both restaurants. Loved the friendliness of all the staff!
