Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe restaurant was ok, bit expensive and there wasn't much of a social feel with the other guests and the bar/restaurant. It was a little bit far from shops.but you can get a shuttle bus, but it finish pretty early.
It was in a beautiful location - if you want to go to the ruins and national park, it's in a perfect location. The pool is lovely and a great place to chill and relax. The staff were very helpful and constantly working to improve the look and cleanliness of the place.

BelgiumFood wasn't worth the money, weird encounter with a receptionist who told us we couldn't pay with VISA while Booking.com told us otherwise. He would keep my passport until we made the payment in cash. Luckily there was another receptionist in the morning and paying with VISA was possible.

United KingdomOur room was without AC- if you can afford it It might be worth the upgrade!
Perfect jungle stay for a great price! We loved it. Staff were super helpful, pool was nice and it was easy to get the collectivo everywhere. The place to buy tickets for palenque is right opposite so super easy to get to. It also had a shared kitchen which we didn’t realise, and drinking water there, which was great.

AustraliaReally nice location in the jungle and close to the ruins. There’s also a nice bar restaurant across the street. One morning I woke up and saw howler monkeys in the trees from the front of my room

ItalyI had food at the restaurant on my first day, I had tacos with vegetables and it was horrible. I had to send it back and go to the restaurant opposite the resort. I advise to go there prepared with fruit and snacks.
I’ve enjoyed the staying a lot. Being in the jungle was a breath of fresh air. The bed in the private cabana super comfortable and clean. Everything was just right for the environment. The stuff super nice and helpful, and I loved that, once I checked out, I could leave my stuff in the lock and still enjoy a relaxing day by the pool in the hammock. I would definitely come back.

Canadahow the beer at the restaurant was 60 pesos but sold for 40 pesos at the entrance. the walking distance is about 20 meters between both areas so we said the price increases 1 pesos per meter 😒 on a serious note, the restaurant just outside called Don muchos by panchan is a far better option to eat, with that same beer around 40 pesos plus they usually have live music, I'd recommend going there instead to eat.. My room itself was OK, no AC but the fans were ok, a bit small and crampy. the "fruit" houses at the back were a strange layout but for 1 or 2 nights it's ok. Also, there was a massive scorpion 🦂 in my room, but security came and killed it thankfully.
being in the middle of the jungle, but still having the resort feel with nice hammocks and the pool (even though the water was too hot) to relax

United KingdomFantastic, peaceful location where guests can unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature and even spot mammals and birds from the property. The grounds are spacious with plenty of areas to explore. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the pool area with the hammocks is very inviting. The staff work hard to deliver a great customer service and are always friendly.

GermanyThe dorm cabins are tiny. I imagine when they're full, it can be hard to fit all the luggage. Plugs aren't at the bed, but in the lockers. A hook for the towel next to the sinks would be nice. Minor issues, though.
Special place in the jungle! Very big with several cabins, a pool, hammocks, a place to wash and hang your clothes (washing powder 10 pesos). Clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, big locker. The dorm cabins get very hot during the day, but are surprisingly pleasant at night. When you check in, you get s small bottle of water for free. The restaurant on the opposite side of the road is good.

BelgiumActivities proposed just outside of the hotel are pricey and the guided tour of the « Forest » was not worth it at all. Also, the restaurant is quite pricey for what it is.

NetherlandsThe restaurant is terrible, don't go there. However, there's another restaurant across the street that is better. If you want AC you have to pay 200 pesos extra, though there's a fan which was enough for us
Great place to cool off and relax after or before a visit to the Palenque visit. We stayed at the pool all day and really enjoyed it. Enough places to relax.

ChinaAmazing hostel to relax before/after your visit to the ruins. The facilities are amazing. The dorm only has one fan (the one on the ceiling). It was not super hot at night but during the day impossible to stay in the room. You can still chill by the pool! Only smoking area is in the camping zone - be aware of ants! They bit me brutally 😅 but, I saw monkeys, birds, butterflies, a very friendly iguana etc.

New ZealandPros: Great pool, lots of wildlife to observe, very close to the ruins and National park Cons: If you are cooking your own food, the fridge is very full so you cannot fit much. The kitchen is small and simple. It’s still do-able but just be aware.

New ZealandRestaurant was quite expensive with a limited menu to cater for guests however there was a larger place across the road which had a large menu and cheap beers
Nice jungle experience right outside the main entrance to the ruins. 25 peso shuttle to the ruins, 15 minute walk back. As an aside thought Calakmul was much better than Palenque and more like the impressive Tikal.
