Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Location best on the island. On the beach, close to shops and restaurants. Nice pool.

United States of AmericaShower head didn't work in both our rooms. Didn't look like it was something major to fix but it would have made a difference for us, you need to shower on a hot day. Staff was very nice when you could get them, they stayed behind the wall, they were probably busy but they don't stay long at the counter (probably air conditioned behind the counter)
Location is great because it's next to the beach. Nice having the drinking water on the hallway :) Restaurants are close by Air conditioner worked great! Great to have the golf car rental at the hotel. Liked the swimming pool!

The position of the hotel right on to the North beach was simply amazing. The hotel was only a very short safe walk to the Main Street for bars and restaurants.

United KingdomWhen I have visited wi-fi has only been available in the pool area / reading nook and Buho’s cafe, which is not ideal
The location of this hotel is unbeatable for access to the beach at Playa Norte as well as shops, bars and food outlets. The more modern Castle Rooms I have stayed in are spacious and airy while the Ground Floor / Cabanas have lovely rustic decor and charm. Both are very reasonably priced compared to the fancier places nearby

DenmarkWe arrived on a rainy day - litterly faeces came up the drains and there was a smell of .... in the whole area. I think there has been a lot of bacteria in the water the following days. The hotel is simple, you get what you pay for. Service is OK and reasonably engaged. We didn't use the pool - but it looked nice.
the hotel has a very good location, if you are into beaches with luxury yachts and American tourists drinking Corona at the water's edge :-) (not a bad word about that, I fully understand it is ideal to go on holiday to Isla Mujere and relax with a beer - we're just not used to see that in Europe). There was a station with free drinking water supply. I think that's good style. The breakfast that was included was simple, but nice - and served in a fantastic beach restaurant.

United States of AmericaNot in any way bad, but: The refrigerator wasn't working. The safe was broken, therefore wasn't able to be used. There were only two regular towels and one walk out of shower towel. There should have been two other smaller towels. The shower was a hot mess - we stayed in room 14 and the shower head needs to be removed and replaced with a new one. Shower spray went everywhere! Water got warm fast otherwise. I would have liked a door mat inside the front door to wipe the sand off of our feet - we tried but still brought in a lot of sand which made it hard to walk on bare footed (no biggie, just a small suggestion)
The room was super clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable and the location! WOW! The best location.

United States of AmericaNo Wi-Fi in the rooms, only at the lobby area. Website says breakfast included, should say limited continental breakfast included. Pool was out of commission during our stay, and you could hear construction noise coming from an adjacent room ALL day long.
Excellent location just steps from the beach. Comfortable room.

United States of AmericaI did not like how antiquated the Castle Room was for the price. The mattress was ok but not so comfortable. The sheets were stained, although clean. The room "The Castle" was VERY Basic, it was just an open room with VERY old furniture and built ins inside the bathroom area.. The tv was from the stone age and they do not offer wifi. Basically, it was a no frills room with a balcony for a very high price. I did not like the fact that the property would keep half of the cost of the intended stay, even if one attempted to cancel 1 month before the date of travel. For example, my stay cost $900. I tried to cancel 1 month prior and I was told that I would pay a fee of almost $500. That is ridiculous, but my fault because I did not read the Properties Cancelation Policy. PLEASE NOTE: The hotel itself was always clean, the staff was great, the food in the kitchen smelled good and the staff appeared to work flawlessly. My dislikes are solely based on the room, its cost and cancelation policy.
The area as far as location from the beach was great; however, it is an extremely high tourist area. I liked the balcony, which faced the sunset. The housekeeping staff, maintenance and restaurant staff worked efficiently. My room was always clean and smelled good. The concierge was very politely and professional. My check in and out went fast and smoothly.

I’ve stayed here three times now - it’s location is superb and price is good. it’s right by the beach and a very short walk to town so you really dons need a lot of facilities. The Garden next door is excellent for breakfast and lunch too. It’s a little outdated but doesn’t really matter as you’ll spend all of your time outside other than to sleep
