As you would expect from an older hotel some items in the room were dated, although everything worked. Some WD40 would really help the exterior doors, for example, but the shower was problem free. The service was somewhat basic (we asked for an extended check out but they said no), and with some annoying nuisances: you need to sign up for beach towels, and they return you a copy of the receipt when you return the towel. Those towels have "seen better days". The food in the restaurant was kind of basic and lacked local variety: there were no tacos, for instance. There was a constant noise from multiple AC units. Although they probably can't do much about that, they definitely could have cleaned the AC unit areas from debris, some of those were visible and presented an untidy view. On the beach, there were many motor boats really close to the shore. They should consider expanding the restricted area. That said, overall we had a very pleasant stay and the hotel exceeded our expectations.

CR Acapulco is a classic hotel located on a steep hill facing the bay. It has a great view of the bay and a small private beach. Our master suite (7th floor) was VERY spacious, it had two rooms and a huge open terrace. We looked at 3 different rooms before settling on that one, all had slightly different sizes and furniture. There were two air conditioners and both worked well. We even had a private jacuzzi outside and it worked. Everything we asked for from the staff was delivered very fast and with no issues. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean as the water was very calm (a luxury for Acapulco) and warm. There was some basic snorkeling around the rocks on the left and right of the beach, although the water was rather muddy. They have three very spacious swimming pools, great for both kids and adults. The location is great, minutes away from everything. The hotel is surrounded by premium condos and the area has a gated entrance. There was private security always present at the entrance, it felt safe. The hotel grounds are well maintained.

Maybe the breakfast buffet can have any variations when you stay several days , you can get bored of the same food.

Rooms are old and some furniture is broken (ie WC). the hotel is very safe because access is restricted, but you need a car to go anywhere outside of the hotel as food in the hotel is not great and it is very pricey.

The private beach is outstanding, it is like a blue and green pool where fish swims around you. staff in the pool and beach are very friendly. the hotel is located in a bay with great views.

Food is only OK and is definitely overpriced. The hotel could use some renovations (it looks very much like it stayed in the 90s).

The hotel views are stunning, and since it was low season, I got to enjoy a kid-free pool (a must for me, since I'm a solo traveller). The room was huge and comfortable, but some of the furniture is starting to show wear. The bed was comfy and I was grateful that the staff let me check out at 2 pm. I loved that the hotel has its own semi-private beach.

The hotel seems a little old for the price, it could use some renewal on the interiors. Also the elevator buttons on our floor werent working well.

The private beach and the view of the rooms were the nicest of all. The pools were clean and we were always served by the hotels staff. The restaurant food is ok.

there were outdoor lamps by the pool and some people, by mistake, thought the bottom was a garbage can so they put garbage. I watched for days workers walking by it without cleaning it out. There was also a pair of shorts on top of the lamp that was never removed by workers.

It was very annoying to have to wait for a exit pass ("pase de salida") when we checked out. They already have the card in case of any damage. I felt I was like in prision or something. That would make me think twice about going back to this hotel.

Location. Private space and separate from the busy part of Acapulco. The view from the room was great.
