Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Loved our cabin here, it was right on the river with an amazing view to look at while sitting in the hammock on our porch. The whole complex is nicely spaced out and private amongst the jungle and there is even it's own little jungle walking route you can follow without getting lost! There are options of rooms with private bathrooms but we went for a room with shared bathrooms which were really good and very clean. There is also an educational side to the site about Mayan history and caring for the jungle habitat. We stayed here as we were kayaking the river for 5 days and this was a great place to stay at the start and end as we could begin our river trip from right outside our room! Staff were friendly and they even offered to open up the restaurant for us to have dinner even though we arrived late. I would definitely stay here again and honestly can't believe why it wasn't busier.

United StatesLittle hard to get to! But worth it
Once in a lifetime jungle adventure for a great price! Staff were kind and attentive. It was super clean. Cabins on the river were amazing. We loved rafting over the waterfalls and finding hidden Mayan ruins nearby.

Accomodation is located in the rainforest. It is simple but clean and well kept. The accomodation due to the climate has no glass in the windows, only mosquito nets. This allows you to hear all the noises in the forest, an experience if you come for the first time. Overall we really liked the this place and unless you expect a luxury hotel this is a great and very friendly place. The restaurant serves simple but good food, you just have to ñlet them know if you want to eat or not so they are prepared. This acomodation is well located to visit Bonampak and Yaxchilan.

FranceNot the end of the world, but no Wi-Fi or mobile connection. The restaurant is very basic.
A beautiful setting in the forest along the river. Charming spotlessly clean cabinets and friendly staff. We went on the rafting trip. Didn't expect much but it turned out to be fun. Two hours rafting followed by a two hour walk through the jungle with a very pleasant swimming and snack stopover. Water available from a water fountain supplied on site.

United KingdomI found it difficult to sleep due to noise from a nearby waterfall. Inevitably in its riverside/jungle setting there were a lot of insects, so repellent is a necessity.
It was convenient for visiting nearby ancient ruins. Set on a river Bank in the jungle the scenery is amazing and it is possible to swim in the river. The accommodation was basic but clean. The staff were delightful and breakfast was good.

United KingdomThe check in staff didn’t seem to speak great Spanish (nor English). Go to the communal showers before dark to avoid too many mosquitos!
The location is great, right in the jungle and close to Bonampak and Yaxchilan. the restaurant on site is very convenient for dinner and breakfast. The room itself was large, basic amenities (you would expect) but more than enough for a couple of days. Right by the waterfall with stunning views

United StatesEfficient, friendly, but impersonal. There is food, but we’ve had much better locally. An adequate stopover if lodging is needed.
Very clean. Good beds, hot water. Adequate facilities.

United States1st, the change of prices as the cabin offered in booking was the one it has the bathroom outside of your room, 3 minutes walking distance So, I had to pay 300 pesos more per night to have a bathroom inside the cabin 2nd There was no water on the shower, my naked dad had to go to the common bathroom 3 mns away from our cabin. Bill came and fixed it, but after my dad took his shower. 3 As soon as I arrived, they engaged me with a guide tour for the next day for 800 pesos. When the real guide came later, he asked me for 1200.pesos but I agreed on paying him 1000 pesos as my Dasd needed assistance going up.and down to the first lev÷l⁷ 4 They told me that I needed a private taxi to go to the ruins and asked me for 700 pesos, but they only paid 600 to the taxi driver. Well I think that they think that we tourist are the ATM machines full of money just to squeeze usno.the most Too sad!
Billy, the *All rol Guy* .He is the bell man, the dining ⁸qattendant, the housekeeper, the person who fixes and repairs anything. Billy was very helpful and went beyond on making our stay as much comfortable as possible I also liked the 16 years old cook. That kid really needs to the culinary school to grow better as he has a great taste on his hand.

United StatesDid not like the kitchen. We stayed 4 nights and it wasnt great to always eat the same things. I think the place is a bit overprices. You have to pay to move around - jungle walks, bonampak ride… and its not cheap at all. Unfortunately because of border problems other ruins (Yaxchilan) were closed…
Amazing location, very attentive and friendly stuff, especially Juan. Spotlessly clean! Close to Bonampak and Golondrinas waterfalls.

ItalyGenerally overpriced with a very poor price/quality ratio. The staff is spoiled, no internet, no credit cards, poor food, you must pay for every single thing you do, like the access to a cascade in the forest, even though we already paid a guide plus a toll to enter the Reserva Lacandona. Sustainable tourism is not pilling the tourist with a pretended "wild/authentic" place.

United KingdomThere was only one man who spoke English and he did not speak to us. We thought we would get an education on the Lacandon community, history and of the area. I guess that’s our own fault for not speaking enough Spanish. Our tour of the jungle was very rushed. We did not get any information on the animals there. The tour guide was lovely to speak with, but there was a lack of education for us. This was not her fault for not speaking English. If you do not speak Spanish, it is more worth your while to take your time walking to the waterfall yourself as you will not learn anything from a tour.
The location is beautiful. The river, waterfall and massive trees are breathtaking. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, funny and accommodating. We seen a beautiful mouth with a crocodile like head, a squirrel and a big spider.

SpainStaff VERY unpleasant and not kid friendly: I informed that we were a family with baby when making the booking but they seemed surprised and unhappy to see me coming with a baby with “don’t get the bedsheets dirty with your baby, we will come to check afterwards” as unique words.. Not much information given about what to do in the surroundings.. despite having done 5h drive to reach that place. The junction is poorly indicated if you come from the south, Las Nubes. Restaurant serves very basic food; not much choice. There are plenty of other hotels in the surroundings; go for another one.
