Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceMy friend and I loved our stay at Casa Lomah Hotel Alameda. The location was perfect for our needs and the staff - Ivan and Daniel - were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast was a joy every morning! It was the perfect home base during our stay in Mexico City and we would definitely recommend!

United StatesAs many people have mentioned the park has music playing until 11 PM. It can be hard to sleep. They do provide earplugs though. Additional, this location has three levels of stairs. The hotel is located on the third. There are no elevators.
I enjoyed the aesthetic of the hotel room. It was cozy and private. The hotel room was close in proximity to museums, markets, and other attractions. The staff were amazing and attentive to our needs. Additionally, there are vendors outside everyday. On weekends the park is full of people dancing cumbias. It was very beautiful to see. I would recommend this location if you want to be near vendors, music, and the park.

IrelandNeed for a full length mirror in the room. The rooms are on the 3rd floor and there is no lift, mindful with luggage. We did book this very last minute and we needed to wait over 1hr to be able to get the self service check in pin
Great location in CDMX, very central and close to a lot of shops. Great market right outside the door. Spacious clean room and very clean. The staff were very helpful and accommodating

CanadaI didn’t have any issues here really. The hotel is on the 3rd floor with no elevator and just stairs so just be mentally prepared to bring your luggage up if you have a larger luggage. I had smaller luggage so it was no problem for me.
I liked the vibe here and the breakfast was nice. The room was clean and spacious. Also, the bed was super comfy. It was a nice place overall! Location is really good too.

United StatesNo hotel sign outside we weren’t sure if we were at the right location. Finally, somebody said yes and told us 4 floor. Nobody was there and we never received a code or room number we finally reached someone who spoke English and friendly using the office phone and gave us information to get into our room, which was very very nice.
Very spacious great view staff at breakfast we’re friendly and made everything fresh

New ZealandNothing warned us that the hotel is on the 3rd floor and there's no elevator. Signage needs to be improved, it wasn't easy finding the entrance. Being central city it was quite noisy and single glazed windows didn't reduce the volume.
Close to museums and city centre. We were warmly greeted on arrival. Most staff were able to communicate in English. Room was small but comfortable.

United StatesThe lack of hot water on demand.
The location was great and very walkable, which we appreciated! It’s close to many restaurants, the square, museums and shopping. We were there over New Year’s and the town square was buzzing with vendors selling street food, jewelry, pottery, clothing & textiles and trinkets. So fun! The hotel was a wonderful place to meet people from all over. We had breakfast with different groups of people and had fantastic conversations. The food was simple but delicious. I loved the rooftop atmosphere and all the beautiful plants. Our room was clean and comfortable with a decent bed. The only issue we had was getting hot water on demand. Once pointed out, it wasn’t a problem!

United StatesFourth-floor living without an elevator, and an unexpected after-dark arrival due to travel delays presented challenges for us with limited vision and some mobility issues, but the staff were helpful and kind and we were well situated.
Location, location, location. It is in the heart of the centro and we enjoyed the weekend entertainment just outside the door. The facility is in a funky old multipurpose building that was beautifully decorated for the season. While the amenities were simple, everything was neat and clean, we enjoyed a hot breakfast, and all the staff were helpful.

LatviaThe hotel is located on the top floor and there is no elevator. We were aware of this, and it wasn't an issue for us. But that is definitely something we need to account for.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and they offered different warm meals every day.

GermanyAs it’s just next to the building that’s being renovated, construction site gets very loud throughout the day. Another thing are windows that are industrial, and the cold air is passing through even though when they are closed, and the room gets slightly cold overnights in winter.
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms. Minimalistic but practical design of the rooms.

GermanyDue to the location relatively close to a major crossroad is is relatively loud when you open the window. Other than some pictures suggest there were no hammocks in the courtyard to relax.
Small comfortable hotel with friendly staff, very clean rooms and comfortable beds. It is located at the edge of the city center and close to bus and subway stations, in the evenings there is dancing on the sidewalk and a market. The hotel is located on the upper floor of a shopping house and the rooms face a courtyard on the roof. Above there is a wonderful restaurant and bar. The breakfast is very good with a main course that is changing daily and made to order. It is served at one big table where you can get to know the other residents and which is part of the common area where you can relax during the day.

United KingdomThe property is in a the centre of the lively Alameda park that has live music all night.. is very nice but if you are looking for a quiet space this is not for you.. apart from that is an absolute gem!
I really enjoyed my stay at casa Lomah. The location is perfect, in the city centre and close to Hidalgo metro station which will bring you pretty much everywhere. The building is a lovely art deco gem and the rooftop is so lovely. The breakfast was a nice touch and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Ivan went beyond and above and was amazing!

Staff was very attentive and friendly. The room & bathroom were spacious. All areas were kept clean and the location was excellent for public transportation. Lots of vendors around the hotel selling various items. Felt safe walking around.

United StatesNothing that can be helped, but the park right outside is active well into the night, with apparently no noise ordinances. So bring your earplugs! There's no heat or A/C, but a floor-standing fan, which we didn't need. The temps were mild enough, and we opened the windows during the day for fresh air.
Our stay at Casa Lomah was wonderful! Melissa, Ivan, Pedro, Daniel, Sylvia, Julian were all beyond helpful and warm. English is well-spoken here. There's a huge map on the wall in reception, and they're happy to share with you where to go and what to do (and where not to go). The historic district has lots of interesting buildings, various sites, beautiful parks with sculptures, fountains and multiple generations of people. We didn't do as much site seeing or museum-hopping as we normally might, since we were really there for Dia del Muertos activities, which were wonderful. Plus we were coming off of a 6-day, jam-packed group retreat in Teotihuacan, so we were happy to just wander and float in a relaxed manner. We always felt safe in the area and surrounding neighborhoods, and Uber is very doable and affordable to go a little further afield. Keep in mind, this place isn't easy to find at first! If a friend hadn't texted me with the description of how to get there, and a photo of the front of the building, we wouldn't have found it so easily! That's because it's not on a street, but on a park sidewalk. So so cars can't go there. Best to Uber to and from the Hilton Reforma, and it's an easy walk along the park, just a couple minutes. It's in a renovated building with little shops and cafes. The best landmark to find the front door to the building, is the pizza place. There are always friendly security fellows at the front door, just ask if this is the place, and they'll say yes, and point UP! Yup, 4 flights of stairs and no elevator! But I managed, even with my knee injury. They do help you with luggage (thanks, Daniel!). Breakfast is coffee, tea, orange juice, milk, sliced fresh fruit, 2 kinds of cereal (one a granola type, which my vegan husband enjoyed, the other a flake type), yogurt, toast and spreads, and Sylvia makes a tortilla dish with cheese or beans or eggs (or a combo).

AustraliaIt can be quite noisy, as it is in the heart of the historical district, sitting right next to the park. While we stayed there was also building works being completed, so construction noise started quite early in the morning. Should also note, the safety deposit box isn’t a true “safe”. It’s a wooden box with a lock and key, that didn’t really lock properly in our room. Also, there aren’t hairdryers in all rooms - had to ask for 2days before one was available.
In an excellent location to explore the historical sites of Mexico City on foot. Staff were helpful and friendly, and 24h security made the place feel very safe at all times.

IndiaNot much space to socialise with other guests at the hotel. On my last day, there was no water at the property. That made things difficult. I’m assuming that this is a one-off.
The location is really good. It’s in the city centre, a lot of activity on the street (street vendors, street bands, pubs/speakeasies/central park). Folks at the hotel were very helpful and fluent in English. There’s a nice restaurant right upstairs.
