The shower head was positioned wrong, so the bathroom floor got soaked. The location is not great for the beach, it is costly taxi ride away. I preferred this as it was good to get away from the very busy areas.

I had a good stay at Copal. The apartments are big and the space is lovely. The breakfast was good though they made our eggs incorrectly. The location is good for restaurants and transport links.

Location trade‑off: Not on the beach; most outings require taxis, bikes, or a car, and walking can be long in the heat. Food and beverage depth: The onsite options are more functional than destination‑worthy; you’ll likely dine out. Minor wear and timing: Some units show light wear.

Spacious suites and design: Modern, jungle‑chic apartments with full kitchens/kitchenettes and great indoor‑outdoor flow; several units include private plunge pools. Calm atmosphere: Quiet, boutique vibe around the pools and grounds—good for relaxing or working without a party scene. Service and cleanliness: Responsive concierge and messaging, reliable housekeeping, and well‑maintained common areas. Value and Wi‑Fi: Strong value for space and amenities, with reliable Wi‑Fi suitable for streaming and routine work. Practical amenities: Onsite pool, small gym, and convenient light food and beverage options cover the basics.

Some building areas and features need some care, example: electric box open, pool lights broken and wires accessible, door handles broken..

The hotel set up, the landscape, the open to the nature design. the 2 pools and private bath. The jumgle pool is perfect for childs, relaxing, and deep enough for adults. the 25m late is perfect for swim workouts. the staff is great, polite and accomodating

Location was a little funny as part of the road between it and the centre of Tulum didn’t have a pavement. It would be useful to have a mirror in the bedroom and the mirror in the bathroom steamed up and didn’t clear.

The setting was lovely with all the jungle planting. Room looked great. Breakfast was tasty and nice to have to have it by the pool.

it wasn't worth paying for the rooftop pool apartment as the water was too cold to use. There was no-one at the pool bar so it was a bit tricky to order drinks

The breakfast was fantastic although not included in the price, particularly interesting options for vegetarians. We had a 2 bed rooftop flat which was massive with fridge, kitchen area, it was very nice. it was easy to get taxis and you could walk to downtown Tulum in 15 minutes. we found a great ice cream place 7 mins walk away. The staff were all very friendly

The pool is not as big as it looks on the pictures The avec makes a lot of noise (the outside units, running 24/7) The flat could do with some refresh (cracks) They offer only 4 small water bottles - this is not enough given we can’t drink the water, which is an essential need

Unfortunately when checking in, the receptionist, later found to be a trainee, completely messed up charging my card which was then blocked by my bank, which took 3 days and some very expensive phone calls to fix. I had to pay with AMEX instead incurring excess fees for foreign transactions.

The location was on the edge of town to restaurants or bars so either a 15 minute walk along poor roads with missing pavements and few street lights or a MXN 180 taxi ride. The apartment was large and had all the facilities necessary for a good stay. Can't thank Ivy on reception (3pm until 11pm) enough for all her help on local restaurants etc. etc. A lovely lady!

The room was given like an upgrated one, so we eneded up with a jacuzzi, but the rooom itself was not the best one, small and not as advanced as other rooms on their photos, but we stayed in that one as we were tired to changed it. For some reason my phone number and dates of our stay in this hotel were leaked to scammers so I had few watsapp messages asking to confirm my booking via dodgy link and to add my bank details.. i reported that to the hotel, they advised to ignore it. That was very uncofortabble that someone external knows about me staying in this hotel and dates, i hope other personal data like passports, was not leaked..

The hotel is beautiful, very green, staff is very friendly, they have two pools, and our room was upgrated to the better one with the own jacuzzi. The food in two restaurants was great.

The main issue is that Tulum itself is not a particularly interesting town. The famous Maya ruins are definitely worth seeing, though now they're part of a kind of theme park, and receive busloads of tourists from the 'Maya Riviera'. There are other activities - Cenotes, ATVs, snorkelling - but these are quite costly, just as they are in other places on this coast. At this time of year (July) the local public beaches were not attractive due to the seaweed.

Very large and well-equipped rooms, very friendly staff, two swimming pools, atmospheric jungly vibe throughout (with authentic mosquitoes).

The location isn’t great, it’s right across from a very poor neighborhood which sits between the hotel and the main city. It’s not violent or anything but just hard to navigate or walk through.

The hotel is pretty and we ended up upgrading to the room with a private rooftop pool. We initially had the jungle room with private pool but it’s smack in the middle of the hotel and full of people walking by. I wouldn’t recommend it. The upgrade was worth it though and the rooftop pool was really pretty.

Bar or drink service offered at Pool area upstairs was missing and would have been nice.

Upgraded to the suite 2nd Floor apartment which was partly self catering ( had a kitchen & fridge etc) it was a joint family apartment 212 which obviously had two rooms but they had closed off room 212 A which meant the party in 212A and ourselves was separated by a door only. This did allow for more noise ( they liked their TV playing all hours of the day and night) which was frustrating and disruptive to our sleep. Would have opted for a different option had we been told... That said , The Hotel is beautiful , hosts one of the best Sushi Japanese restaurants and is spacious and we liked the attention to detail such as burning lanterns in the gardens at night etc. Super friendly staff who were more than helpful & accommodating.
