We were surprised that a one night stay hold was put on our credit card since it was before the cancellation fee time. It was explained that the hotel was at 100% occupancy so the hotel just wanted to be assured of the reservation. We were not confident that our credit card number was not used inappropriately since Booking.com was not aware of it. In the end it was all fine.

Fiesta Inn is a great location. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and happening upon a concert in the nearby zocolo.

The towels were stained and could be replaced.

Excellent location on the Malecón but close enough to walk to the zócalo without hearing any bustling traffic noise. Helpful staff. Large room with typical hotel furnishings. Excellent WiFi. Cable tv with English and Spanish channels. Separate vanity area from the bathroom.

Below par quality of room furnishings for a 4 star Hotel. Very noisy old AC split unit in the room. Pictures of "superior" room on Booking.com need updating, as the superior rooms at the front of the Hotel are nothing like what the pictures depict.

The rooms have the very common hotel problem of choosing between being cool with noisy air conditioning or turning it off and feeling too hot. A fridge in the room would be nice to keep some cool water.

Unbeatable location in city centre but not on the noisy Zocalo. The hotel is on the waterfront about 400m from the Zocalo which is a quieter location but just as convenient with everything within walking distance. Our party's three rooms had sea/port views which were superb. The beds are comfortable and the overall standard is high (by Mexican standards). The restaurant is good although it can prove cheaper to eat at the nearby cafés (including the legendary la Parroquia, which is a block's walk away). The small swimming pool is very nice, includes a shallow baby pool and a hot tub. The gym and a small kids' play area overlook the pool. The wi-fi works well even in the bedrooms and there are also PC's free to use on the ground floor.
