Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaStaff was eager for tips and seems tired. The reason of that the average count of stays in this hotel is less than coupe of days.
The location is perfect. Sea view is adorable. Good food and friendly staff.

LatviaI had higher expectations for the service at the bars, as well as for the quality of spirits given the price we paid.
The essence of this hotel revolves around its prime location. Situated on a small island connected to Isla Mujeres by a bridge, it offers breathtaking beaches, stunning sunsets, and crystal-clear waters. The dinner offered delicious food, and a must-visit spot is the chevicheria.

United States of AmericaThe staff felt very pushy with always trying to help and expecting tips. We also felt very pressured to attend their membership breakfast which we did not want to do. There there was a lot of work being done while we were there so there was some mess throughout the hallways
The location was perfect, couldn’t imagine a better location!

United States of AmericaThe whole Mia Club experience was poor, in my opinion. At the moment you set foot in the hotel, they will offer you some discounts on some hotel activities in exchange for your participation in a “quick” meeting to present you their time sharing club. Mine took around 2 and a half hours and was pretty frustrating for both me and the sales team. I left there not even wanting to use the discounts they gave me so stressful it was. They should urgently change their approach regarding this.
This resort is located at the best spot in Isla Mujeres (playa norte). The villa has a breathtaking ocean view and easy access to the beach. Some people from the staff are really nice and treat you really well (some waiters and waitresses and the hardworking cleaning and maintenance workers). The food was also really good, the buffet is not the largest, but had everything we were looking for.

United States of AmericaMaria's dinner was not good. We were so disappointed that we canceled our 2nd-night dinner. The pool was warm to hot water. It felt more like a hot tub than a swimming pool. The sales pressure for timeshare and future stays was excessive. We were there to relax, not to be pressed for commitments on future stays. This was way over the top and may make the difference in whether we will visit again, or not. The birds were annoying and smelly. Some of the walkways to units were covered in bird feces. They were being painted rather than pressure washed.
Roberto, Perna, Antonio, and Isreal were amazing staff members. We felt very comfortable with them on a daily bases. You have gems with these people. The location and ocean, seawater, and rocks were amazingly beautiful.

United States of AmericaI didn't get what I payed for ! I payed for a King bed with a deluxe room. What I received was a Queen bed next to my daughter's room for $1000.00's more. The front desk promised me on that Wednesday they would move me to another room. Never happened !
The welcoming Staff ! It's nice to see people enjoying what they do. Location and cleanliness was superb. The food was delicious and non stop, as was the alcohol. Some of the best drinks ever ! The swimming pool was always clean along with the bar. I can't even express how beautiful the beach is . Special thanks again to your Staff. See you next year !!!

AustraliaThe rooms are obviously old and have been renovated lightly as to a passable standard. The public areas (apart from the buffet area) have been renovated to a lovely standard. My biggest gripe was the disgusting tour booked through the hotel. We booked a tour to go to MUSA (underwater museum) for 5th April. We were told it was a 2 hr tour with some snorkelling around the underwater museum. Perfect- so we thought! No! Firstly the pick up was more than an hour late; secondly the snorkelling was for one hr around waters that were nowhere near as nice as the water at the hotel NOT at MUSA; there was a stop for an hour and a half at some dodgey place where some ppl were getting fotos of themselves holding a halfdead shark out of the water- so more time wasted; we had a stop of we had 15 mins out at the underwater museum which was so rough and murky- it was another waste of precious time AND to top it all off- they dropped us in town (NOT at the hotel as were told they would). So we had to walk back as we didn't take our wallets with us on a "2 hour trip on the water"Upon arrival back at Mia Reef we came across Nubar, who remarked when we told him "Not again!" DO NOT BOOK TOURS THRU this resort!! They obviously work with unprofessional operators!
LOVED the location! Could not find a better location that this! The beaches are beautiful! The bed was comfy. A/C in the rom was good. Most staff were friendly and helpful.

Swedenthe resort is so worn down, feels like a charter hotel from 1980. pillows felt like plastic, the mattress was brown of mold. you could hear everything from the neighbours and the door had glitches. the food also needs an update as the common areas. outside showers didn’t work.
stunning location on the north part of the island with the waves of the Mexican gulf below the hotel. only guests are allowed on the top island. service was wonderful, everybody keen on helping out- specifically Abraham!

United KingdomWe chose the least expensive accommodation - a hood sized room looking out to the sea. The decor was bright but starting to become tatty and although everything worked in the bathroom, it could have gone with updating some time in the past 20 years. We liked the view and location, but would seriously consider a more expensive room if we returned. The location of the hotel was excellent / a short walk to Playa Norte if you wanted to go (and into town) but over the boardwalk so quieter.
There was a good buffet selection, especially salads and fruit. The fresh omelet station at breakfast was excellent. The hot good selection was slightly more variable in quality - especially the meat options. Food was available in one form or another for 24 hours a day. Bicycles were available to borrow although it was exceptionally windy while we there in February so we didn’t make use of them. The interior of the main building was modern and pleasantly decorated. The complimentary minibar was topped up daily. **There we’re bedside resting lights! A very rare facility! We could actually read in bed!**

United States of AmericaThe food in the main restaurant was just ok. Biggest issue we had was the hard sales push for us to join their vip club. They were not honest in their approach, getting us to agree to a meeting and aggressive once we said no, continuing to try to convince us for several days. This made things quite uncomfortable. The stairs entering the beach area were all roped off but one. These shoild have been repaired.
The setting/location can't be beat. The facility was older but mostly renovated. Room had fantastic view and was clean and comfortable. Being on a private reef gave security and prevented overcrowding with general public. Staff was great. Friendly and helpful.
