We didn’t have hot water in our shower. I know that’s not unusual for a place that’s so warm and humid, but I’m very accustomed to a hot shower. However, it was not so cold that we couldn’t shower.

The hotel had a beautiful courtyard garden area. Our room was clean, and had everything we needed. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to go, so were able to leave our car in their parking area the whole time.

Location was great for our visit - just off the main square. Pool area was sheltered by a large tree - which shed leaves into it. Although no doubt clean it wasn't that inviting. Room was on the ground floor, clean and basic, comfortable beds.

I believe this is the best place to stay in Chiapa de Corzo. The garden is exquisite, and together with the surrounding buildings, it creates a nice and cozy atmosphere within the complex. The lady at the front desk was very helpful in arranging a taxi to pick us up at night! Additionally, this location is ideal for visiting the Canyon of Sumidero, as the boat landing pier is just a few minutes away on foot.

The room lighting was depressing, and the room was dark. Not very nice to spend time in. Take mosquito repellent for the common areas - lots of mosquitoes.

Lovely pool for cooling off on a hot day. Beautiful gardens and property. Friendly cat. Staff were very helpful when I got bitten by a street dog and needed to find a hospital - they arranged taxis for me and called the hospitals. No one speaks English so you'll need some Spanish or a translation app on your phone.

We recently stayed at Hotel La Ceiba in Chiapa de Corzo and had a great experience. The location is perfect, providing easy access to all the local attractions and activities. Set in lush garden very close to the town square. Room clean and comfortable. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful and managed to understand by basic Spanish.

The water in the room was not very hot, it was slightly warm at best. However, I could disregard it as there were a lot more positive things to take into account.

I loved how beautiful this hotel was. They have amazing internal gardens and the place felt magical. The room was just like the photos and was quite clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and were happy with the quality and prices of the food.

One of the rooms assigned to our group had white light. In my very personal opinion, this kind of light is terrible for a relaxing atmosphere, as expected in a hotel. Given the type of construction and materials used for the windows. Some of the noises from the shared hotel areas can be heard in the room. This might be annoying for some light sleepers.

They have a beautiful inner patio with a lot of different plants. We loved the atmosphere created by them. The rooms were nicely decorated. The personnel in the hotel was very attentive. The hotel was within walking distance from the city center.

Some rooms suffered from a bad smell from the nearby river. We were originally in room 205 where the bad smell was strong When we raised this with the staff they immediately moved us to room 210 which was very nice.

The room seemed a little bare and the washroom was ok but could have been nicer.

The rooms are arranged around a wonderful garden courtyard which also includes a swimming pool. As well,the restaurant is situated on an upper level terrace which overlooks the garden. These are the best and most memorable features of the hotel.

The creek at the back of the property is highly polluted and smelly so that was off putting. Otherwise the property is excellent.
