I booked this place because they have their own private pier on the lake. It was nice to wake up and watch the sunrise over the lake, or just go for a swim whenever you want or chat with fellow travelers while dipping your feet in the water.

Lockers are a bit far away from the dorm. On the pictures the dorm seems to be 4 people and there is no separation in between beds. but it is for 8 people. But I slept very well as people were all respectful and quiet and the dorm with the mermaid pictures is ideally situated. No hot showers but it is quite hot so it is fine.

I loved the pontoon, the vegetation around the place. The hammocks, The personal were really nice, and it is a quiet place. I could have stay longer.

Ugh the beds! So hard with a pillow like a hard sandbag. The facilities could use some attention ... some lockers were broken and the bathroom doors don't fully close leaving a gap for someone to see in.

Location right on the lagoon was awesome. Shaded hammocks and sun loungers. At the end of town but still less than 15min Into centre.

They charge for change of towels. It would also be nice with a mirror in the room, as we only had the one in the bathroom.

They have a privat pier. If you stay here, do yourself a favor and wake up early to see the amazing sunrise from the hammocks. The private rooms are quite simple, but have what you need. Good value for money.

my room was a sort of attic and it was a little bit uncomfortable to walk around.

The location is amazing, one can be on the lake all day if one wants without leaving the facilities. The rooms are confortable, the kitchen is simple but one can cook there.

Very nice atmosphere, the laguna is just in front and they have everything you need to relax and rest they also have a few hammocks. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also offer breakfast in the morning which we really appreciate. In the common area you will find water for free.

the room was on the roof it was very small you cant walk stand and the bed was kind of small, the bathroom is kind of far so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to walk a bit

The first room we got was in bad shape, bugs in bathroom, the sink and AC was leaking. We got another room though which was much better.

The pier by the lake was lovely. Really nice and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was very helpful. We got some toast and jam breakfast which was nice way to start the morning.

Really cute spot right on the lagoon with its own pier. I loved waking up to the sound of birds and drink my coffee looking at the lagoon. Good swimming spot too.

showers were not very clean, could be cleaned a bit better.. toilets were ok! no 24h reception as indicated.. I arrived at 2am and it was nobody.. I jumped in the dormitory by myself as my bed was booked but nobody was here to welcome me event after several calls.. no intimity in the dorms, no mosquito nest, nothing between the people, just 8 beds in a big room 10 min walk from center of bacalar

Air condition only begins at 11h at night, curtains missing in dorm and should be thicker because too many big lights outside to sleep well, hot water is turn-off at night and sometimes turn on back only around 10-11h am, they don’t offer breakfast anymore, there is little rocks path everywhere that makes it impossible to walk barefoot, the toilet is far from the dorms.

Good location directly on the lagoon with water sports rentals, the dorm in front of lagoon is big and airy, windows all around to enjoy the view, there’s a kind of lounge spot near the kitchen with comfy adirondac chairs, the wifi is good but only in the front part, staff is friendly, showers and toilets are clean, you can also camp.

the calm atmosphere, the staff was super friendly. also the jettys was so nice located. they serve wonderful breakfast for a good price beside the toast. we felt safe and relaxed.

not much space between beds to have your suitcase next to you. staff could be nicer. showers don't work and bathrooms weren't always clean. it's really basic.

looks beautiful and has its own pontoon on the lake really great to see sunrise and sunset. it's 10 min walk from the ADO bus station.

- Prices for private rooms are too high for what you get. Our room had a window facing a wall, no daylight. The faucet in the bathroom was not really working and the little water that came out was spraying everywhere

One of the reception lady was really rude and unfriendly. The rooms were a bit dirty and the AC only came on at certain times. It was a bit dark in the garden view room as well. There was a cockroach at one point on one of the beds.. and the toilet was interesting, and shower was cold the whole time I was there. I guess at least the weather was warm...

The location was really nice with the private access to the lagoon. The views in the morning were amazing at sunrise. Saw a ton of stars at night and a lot of shooting stars as well.

Perfect location. But take the dorm without sight on the water since it is cheaper and you are in range of the WiFi. There is no reason to book a room with sight on the lake since you can just walk there in 10 seconds
