Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgNo windows in the room and it was not ventilating too well Only sweet options for breakfast Paid parking lot (but it's specified on booking so just additional expense) Relatively small bathroom but all worked and was clean
Good breakfast (but only sweet options) Great location Hot water Big room but one bed was huge (could fit easily 3-4 people) and second bed was a queen bed so for two people who are not spooning was a bit small but just because the other was huge (average size of bed in Mexican hotels/guesthouses) Offers for trips around the city (quite cheap we paid around 100 or 150 pesos for 3-4h privet trip in a van with a guide) Clean and quiet Spacious and enough space to unpack and hang things Friendly stuff Always someone on reception

AustraliaJust to let you know. This is not the hotel's fault but every night from 7pm to 10pm, a local group of traditional singers get together and sing very, very loudly and the doors and shutters on the rooms do not help to quash the sound. So you can ask for a rear room or make sure you have some earphones or earplugs if a rear room is not available
Great location only minutes to the Jardin de la Union, the Teatro, the Funicular. Most other places are just a few more minutes away. Very friendly staff, some of whom spoke English. The continental breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The rooms are a large and the building itself is a beautifully renovated townhouse

MexicoGuanajuato is a loud town at night. The callejoneros go right behind the hotel with large groups of tourists, playing guitars and singing until 11pm at night. I knew to expect this, so was not surprised. If you are the type that goes to bed early, you might want to request a front room away from the back alley.
Very well located in the historic center of town. I appreciate the communication with the hotel manager to make sure I found the place and he had arranged for valet parking of my car at a very discounted rate. The coffee and light breakfast available in the morning was nice to start the day.

United States of AmericaThe lighting in the rooms are quite dim but not a deal breaker. Agan, they should offer cafe de la olla.
The hotel was located in the heart of the city and everything was walkable. It was off a narrow alley (TikTok famous for being so narrow) from the main road. My room was clean and nice. The bed was super comfortable and I had a balcony! There were no frills but it had all I needed. I was also able to ask for a blow dryer. It did come with a fan and heater, both of which I used because the weather was a bit unpredictable. The staff was great! Super helpful in getting me information about the bus system and setting up transportation to the airport. Note that it is in the heart of the city so you will here the partying and singing from the callejoneadas (I highly recommend you do one). I am a light sleeper and it truly didn't bother me. Breakfast was fine, pan dulce, yogurt and fruit. I wish they offered cafe de la olla (a must). Overall, I thought it was a great deal and would stay there again.

CanadaThe room was in the basement so no view and poor ventilation. Shower was very cramped. The only window was in the bathroom and if the window was open others can see through.
The staff was very nice and helpful- they helped me carry my luggage when showing me my room, and helped me call a taxi the morning I check out at 6 am.

United States of AmericaNot much. Provided breakfast a bit lacking but that’s it
Right off center and road that could only exist here. Pathway that passes adjacent to property often used in evenings by passing singing groups of folk. Fantastic. After midnight whole area quieted down so don’t worry about that
