The hotel is overcrowded. For the four days we stayed, we couldn't locate a seat at the pool or beach, even though we woke up early. It is highly overpriced and not worth the price per night. It took almost 1.5 hours to check in, apparently due to the mistake in the invoice. I called the room service twice and came three times to the reception desk to ask for an additional pillow, and the staff was not responsible for following up on the commitment. This was the worst hotel for our entire Yucatan trip. There is no much variety of the food at the restaurant, almost half an hour to get the eggs at breakfast. Don't waste your money; book other hotel

Few glitches this year that I never had before. First, the water was provided through fountains in multiple locations, which was good, but our room had no bottles to put the water in it, although there was a sign i discovered the day before last stating that the two tumblers are there for my convenience (except they were not there). Another thing was that on the second day, the cleaning people took our hand towel and the towel you put on the bathroom floor away, and did not replace them. I asked the cleaning people and the reception repeatedly for the towels; eventually i got the one you put on the floor, but until the last day we only had one hand towel, which was constantly wet, and that was unpleasant. Also, our room had no "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door, and although i requested one, i never got it. These are not big things but they were bothersome to an otherwise great vacation..

Really friendly staff, great location, within walking distance from La Isla Dorada shopping center, a beautiful strip mall on the Laguna, where you can see the sunset every night, and also visit the Aquarium. The beach was excellent, not crowded, enough beach chairs and umbrellas to keep you in the shade or in the sun, the pools were great, the food was good, not exceptional, but we left the restaurants happy and full every night, and the staff was very friendly and helpful, many thanks to Gabriel! The El Pescador restaurant has amazing views of the ocean, and it is paradise to eat on its patio with that view, and the breeze. We have been coming to this hotel for many years and we find it a great value overall! One downside is that the double rooms have full beds, not queen.

The food was horrible. We paid to havevall inclusive but it was a waste outsidebthe drinks. The mini bar service only included Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, coffee, Dos Equis, and 7UP. They have water filter stations for you to get water intead of providing water in the mini bar. We didnt use the mini bar but the welcome staff was very helpful. There was a situation where another guest allow housekeeping to clean their room when they were away to come back and have all of their clothes destroyed. The resort uses the Grand Park Royal resort just a few minutes away to sell Memberships but does not allow its guests the option to utilize the services there. The Grand offers more food choices as well as better quality. The restaurants at Park Royal were ALWAYS booked so getting a reservation was not an option yet these are part of the all inclusive. Overall the resort is ok as long as you dont want to eat.

Pamela, Dailia, Alejandro, Salvetore and other staff members were very helpful. It great being across from the mall and having eateries within walking distance. The beach was beautiful.

Great location, there was always something to do such as yoga, bingo, Zumba etc. my friend and I went with the purpose of relaxing and this location did a great job! The food at the buffet was a bit more exotic than what we expected, but we always found something to eat. Picky eaters will have a hard time here. There are 3 restaurants that need reservations that are nearly impossible to get. We never had problems getting more drinks. We got a massage on site that was amazing and the views were to die for. Or room was comfortable, the drain in the shower was slow causing water to flood the bathroom if you took longer than 5 minutes. Overall, the resort is not perfect, but if you are wanting a place to relax and spend time on a clean beach on a budget, this place is great!

Communication was poor, we had constantly obstacles to book a table in the local restaurants. Laundry service was with delay. The beach and pool seats were occupied most of the time, you have to get up early to take one .

Perfect for the family with children. They have a lot of activities for little one. Fantastic food in the restaurants, however in the Veranda restaurant service was not well organized .

Cancun is a place to visit and it would be great to have a good location with great food and nice cleanliness and great Staff. Park Royal Beach met some points; The location is good, from there you can go everywhere with the bus, the cost for it was 12 pesos per person. The room was clean but the beds are small ( I am 5’11 and I didn’t fit comfortably in it) and the reservation was for 3 people and in the room there was just 2 full size bed, from the bathroom’s ceiling there was a small leak. The food and the drinks at the buffet and the two restaurants we tried (Andiamo and El Pescado) were decent; I wouldn’t order the bolognese pasta at Andiamo anymore though; The staff was AMAZING. Everyone was gentle and helpful; Their smiles always ready to welcome you wherever you meet someone of them. It s not excellent but I would go back. Ps: I didn’t find the elevator slow as many said on previous review;

Check in took way too long. The staff were go back and forth helping various people so it was very broken up. Our room was not great. The bed was not balanced so we had to put wash clothes under leg posts. The AC never cooled the room down. It was set to 19 Celcius but the room never got below 21 degrees. They came and looked but it did not fix the issue. The bathtub/shower area was very old and weathered. The black out curtains had rips at the top where the hooks are so they did not close all the way.

The staff were great. Everyone was very friendly. The pools were great and the beach was beautiful. The location was perfect with a very large mall right across the street. I felt safe for on this property.

Having to stand in line for reservation - unable to make reservation due to early excursion. After jumping through hurdles to get the reservation - seeing half the tables empty. Italian food was cold. Quality of alcohol at a couple of the bars. Food quality was just ok.

The beach towel service didn't open until 9 am and the reservation procedure for dinner was a pain. The margaritas were crap cause they used cheap booze.

The beach was Awesome! The motel is across the street from a huge mall. Getting around by bus is very easy. The food was good and many changing choices. The only thing that sucked was having to wait in line early in the morning to get dinner reservations for the evening. The sand was so fine and soft and the beach was kept clean. The bar on the 10th floor we didn't discover until the last day. Amazing views and good drinks. I recommend this motel.

Appreciate the marble floors thru out, but Room with connecting door, I can hear the next room until I block the noise thru under the door with the small carpet, it helps. This should be addressed. All doors should have a rubber block underneath.

Nice beach, good food, good value, perfect size (not too big). Location is great, across from a mall, there are some convenient stores nearby, not too far from the ferry port.

Managment needs to step up and start renovating, updating hotel. I think they are focusing more on Grand park royal and forgot about Park royal. They try so hard to sell you timeshare to the hotels and have forgotten about the actual members that have spent 25 years as a member. We spoke to members of 20-25 years and said they get basically forgotten and not treated the same. Our room had water leaking from the light fixture three times which had to call to come and fix. Our air conditioner went out and then water went out for couple of hours. Our room...we had noisy noisy neighboors that did not sleep till 3-4 am. Called and they did not do nothing! Sad....wont be going back here

The bartenders, restaurant staff, housekeepers were amazing. They were friendly and made our stay pleasant.

The food in general was average, not bad but neither really good. The cocktails were very regular. We did not like that we were approached by personel trying to sell us future hotel packages. They bluntly lied to us, saying it would only take 90 minutes, while in the end it took 3 hours. Of those 3 hours they spent 1 hour trying to get us to to sign up for a 30 years, 50.000 USD hotel offering. They took turns in trying to convince us, starting with 50.000 USD and decreasing the price as we kept declining their offers. It was unpleasant, annoying and in the end upsetting. I work in sale and this strategy is applied when you work from the assumption that you only have one opprtunity to convince the potential customer to buy. This is not how you sell when you want to create a long-term customer relation.

The beach was nice, staff nice, wonderful lady that prepared the breakfast eggs.

The staff to make a reservation for the restaurants were not helpful at all. Just the staff from the El Pescador restaurant we’re friendly and nice. We came to make a reservation between the hours they said. They were nobody at the reception, so we tried again after breakfast. Again, nobody. We came later and we explained the situation, they did not want to attend us even when they had a lot of empty tables. Very disappointed.

Not enough pool chairs near adult pool, Need a bit more entertainment for adults. No hot tub and the food was awful.
