Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI loved the remote location, not too far from town, but being immersed by the scenery of the gulf was amazing

United States of AmericaThere was an odor coming from the shower drain. They provide a rubber cap to put over it but smell still seeped through so we added a towel over it and it helped.

MexicoNothing we didn't like. Just be warned - to get there the final 10-20km are "off road" (terracería).
The location is amazing. If you want to get away from the crowds, this is the place. We had the end room (number 11) and felt like we had the entire beach and view to ourselves. The room and view onto the sea was outstanding. There is very good snorkelling right on your doorstep. The staff were all very friendly and the food very good. Great food can be had in El Cardonal and delicious tacos de pescado y Cameron at the Taqueria "El Papilonn".

United States of AmericaWhen I was checking out and paying for the food and drinks the receptionist asked if I liked everything. I said everything was great except for the pizza. Even though she had totaled up the bill, she INSISTED upon removing the charges for the pizza, though I said I was happy to pay for it. It's not real easy to get there, about 6 MI drive up an unpaved road. But it is worth the effort. I did it in a regular rental sedan. Just take it slow and careful. If you like noisy night life, don't come here. If you want to be pampered in peaceful, beautiful surroundings, this is the place.
Spectacular! I never bother to write reviews unless a place is either wonderful or horrible. This place is amazing. The setting is jaw-dropping, on a cliff above beautiful beaches that stretch for miles. My room was wonderful, food was great, excellent value. All rooms have amazing ocean views, plenty of parking, extremely safe area. The staff is very sweet, friendly and accommodating. It's the place to go when you want to get away from it all. I had fun swimming, you can see beautiful fish while snorkeling right from the beach. Pool table, tennis court, and other sports activities.

United States of AmericaThe only real downside were the prices in the restaurant, but at least the food was very good. There are some highly rated restaurants in El Cardonal, and there's a small grocery store about 2 km from the hotel, so there are other options for food despite the remote location.
Punta Pescadero is truly a remote paradise. All rooms face the ocean, with an amazing fresh breeze and sound of breaking waves all night long. There are two clean beaches, and wonderful rocks to explore with snorkeling and kayaks. The beaches are basically private to the hotel, as they're shared only with the 8 houses nearby. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Good free entertainment options at the hotel - billiard room, board games, corn hole, pool. The hotel was off the beaten track, but not hard to reach. Follow the paved road from Los Barriles to the small village of El Cardonal, then take the sandy dirt road for 10 km to the hotel. Our small compact rental car made it just fine.

United States of AmericaTypical of Mexican swimming pools, it wasn't heated. Also, it's a bit of a drive, pretty remote. Some people go to Los Barriles and then rent ATV's to journey to the resort. There is a sandy road along the coast that you wouldn't want to drive on unless you have an vehicle with good ground clearance. We took the longer paved route from Los Barriles and then only had to drive a few kilometers on the sandy road.
What wasn't there to love?! Amazing place with lovely views of the Sea of Cortez. We spent time on the beach kayaking and scuba diving. All equipment is free and easy to access. The food was incredible, and the presentation lovely. The entire staff was gracious and accommodating. The stay included the best Continental breakfast we've ever had with fresh fruit, yogurt/granola, toast and coffee. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable with an ocean view and outside seating area. (small frig). Lastly, daily housekeeping.

Amazing beach and views from the room. We went snorkeling right from the beach. Very secluded area. We only stayed 1 night and would have liked to spend more time here. It’s a bit of a drive to get ther.

United States of AmericaFortunately, I don't have any negative comments. What I did not like was having to leave this beautiful resort, our delightful room, and its kind staff. Booking.com is asking me to write more so I am just filling in the space.
The best part of our visit to Punta Pescadero Paradise Hotel & Villas was the staff. They were accommodating and most of all extremely kind. My family has visited this resort for decades, so I knew what to expect. The food was wonderful along with a visit from the chef to make sure we were delighted. Delicious breakfast every morning. Fresh fruit, hand-squeezed orange juice, delicious coffee. Best chorizo and eggs I have ever tasted. The lunch and dinner menus include fresh fish, amazing soups, and many authentic Mexican dishes. If you are looking for a nice relaxing vacation stay here if you want the crazy party scene stay in San Jose Del Cabo. Our stay at the Paradise Hotel was amazing! NOTE: To access Paradise requires driving on a dirt road. This may be an issue for some however, for me, it adds to the overall fun.

United KingdomBeds are very small. Air conditioning is really, really, really loud. Wi-fi is patchy to non-existent. Pool is very small so it gets soupy warm and water was quite murky - Nb we were there in the lowest of low season and for most of the time there we were the only guests. I’m sure the pool is better maintained in high season. It’s only a very small splash pool however.

United States of AmericaWe had dinner at the restaurant and my husband's meal was just okay. We could tell the chicken had been freezer burned. It was tough and lacked flavor. On a positive note, I ordered ceviche and it was very good! It would be better for them to limit the menu especially during the hot summer months when occupancy is down. The breakfast served was perfect!
