Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainShower doesn't have a lot of pressure (but this happened in most showers in Mexico), and we had some very small ants in the room. Not a big deal.
Nice room with aircon and a fan. The room had 2 windows so we had enough light. Bathroom is pretty big. Wardrobe can be locked. Room was cleaned every day, breakfast was good and they even provided some breakfast for when we had to wake up early to go to the archeological sites. They gave us good tips about the city, what to do and where to go. It's a 20 min walk from the ADO bus station.

CanadaThe first morning we had to leave before breakfast time so they said they'd make us toast. But we didn't get any because the people before us ate it all and there was no bread left, so we had coffee and bananas.
Good location, it is clean although old so shower, taps, floors etc could use a deep clean. It was very quiet. Air conditioning worked well. Wifi wasn't great on the second floor where our room was but I think it did on the main floor. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We only had one breakfast, pancakes and they were very good.

AustraliaIt definitely was more of a mature vibe rather than a hostel vibe, so meeting people was challenging and I wouldn't book this place as a backpacker but it's fantastic if you are a more mature traveller.
The staff were incredible. They were so kind and so helpful.

United States of AmericaSomething there were a little strange smell in the bathroom.
We really like this place. It was clean and specious room with locked wardrobes. The breakfast was a nice addition. There were coffee and tea which we could use any time. The best were advices of Emilio about what to do in the city and how to visit all interesting places. There are bikes to rent. We recommend this place and we will definitely stay again when we are back.

NetherlandsOnly the toilet of our private room was a bit old and the breakfast a little meagre. However if you regard the price and the fact that the breakfast included was it was actually quite nice.
Emilio, the host was extremely nice. He really loved to help and give advice. The wonderfull thing about his advice was that he first asked abour your plans, intentions or thoughts in which he customized his advice exactly to us. For example: we wanted to have dinner in a vegetarian restaurant. The fact that we could rent a scooter to visit the cenotes was also great, as well as that they were so kind to serve breakfast way earlier because we wanted to leave early to Chichén Itzá. The walk to the centre square is about 10 minutes. All in all a great place to stay!

New ZealandNothing bad to say
Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive and even made breakfast for us at 6 15, as we were getting a 7am bus to Chichen Itza. It was quiet when we were there due to the time of year but that suited us. We could rent bukes for 50 pesos. Very good tourist info. And the staff were so friendly!!

United Kingdomwe really enjoyed our stay. The dorm beds were private with curtains and beds were comfy. The breakfast included was a highlight, we had pancakes one day and quesadillas the next. we had to leave at 5.15am on our last morning to catch a flight and the staff prepared coffee and toast for us before we left which was lovely. The hostel has a real family feel and I would recommend without a doubt!

AustraliaOne of the staff made a sexist remark that made me uncomfortable. This also happened to be after I'd been walking home with my partner and we got cat-called by men on the street, so it contributed to an unsafe vibe. But I knew the staff member didn't mean anything by it - it was just really thoughtless, especially in a city that doesn't always feel safe for women.
One of the staff was especially helpful. The room was cozy, and the atmosphere was really homely and comforting.

GermanyOne of the rooms has no windows (or they where sealed from outside). The AC keeps it cool, but if you need fresh air maybe check in advance if you can get into one of the other rooms.
The hosts are offering great service, give lots of advice and the small breakfast is made fresh for you when you need it. Kitchen is well equipped, oil and basic spices are available.
