Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThere is a nightclub on the beach right beside the accommodation. It was ok for one night but very loud well into the night.
The property was centrally located and within easy walking distance to all the action of the hotel strip.

United States of AmericaSpring break. We are old and expected loud party music. This was very very loud at Coco Bongo. Went on Saturday night until Sunday 330 am. Other days it was OK. If you are young and like that kind of music it is great for spring break. Other than Spring break time it would be great for anyone. Beach and water were great but people throw there trash everywhere on the beach. Staff was good about cleaning it up in front of condo.
No breakfast. On the beach. Near major store that has mostly everything.

MexicoWe stayed for a family vacation of 7 days and we had a pleasant stay. The room was clean but outdated (as other reviews state) and we were aware and fine with it. We knew about the cash deposit, so we had no trouble there, we knew about coco bongo and it was also fine. The room being unkept (minor issues) was no problem for us as we were prepared, but something I found very strange was the location of a security camera just outside the bathroom window. I’m attaching photos, I also took a video. The camera was exactly located in a space and an angle visible from inside when you stand out of the shower and when you are in front of the toilet. I freaked out and went outside to understand the reason of its location as I couldn’t really wrap my head around it. The hallway is long and the camera could have been placed a little bit further back to have more visibility of it but it is exactly outside the bathroom window. I share this information for future reference for people staying there: be sure to close the bathroom window when you are inside. This was apartment 303b.

United States of AmericaCoco bongo beach party is right next door as well so it can get loud even with the doors closed especially during the weekend. Personally didn't mind too much since I was on a higher floor and the outside is quiet by 8 pm during the weekdays.
A non all-inclusive hotels with direct beachfront access from the property. The view of the ocean from the balcony and being able to hang out from the balcony with the doors wide open felt amazing. Convenient location if you're looking to stay close to the center of hotel zone, walking distance to coco bongo, night clubs, and many restaurants. 7-11 right next door which is also very convenient.

United States of AmericaThe biggest down-side for us is the fact that next door to the hotel is an open-air beach/party club that plays LOUD music beginning in the afternoon and lasting till dark, even later on the weekends. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will be disappointed with the Salvia. It's not their fault, just be aware that the music from the club nextdoor is intrusive.
The ocean-view rooms have a wonderful view of the ocean with private balcony. The hotel/condo beach is very nice which opens to all the other beaches along the coast. You can walk for miles in the sand. The hotel has no beach chairs or shade umbrellas. The location is great within walking distance to shopping, great restaurants with excellent fresh seafood, and other attractions such as the ferry to Isla Mujeras. The pool is located on the bay side of the hotel, not next to the ocean. There is a bar and restaurant next to the pool, but we never ate there - too many other options. Also be aware that these are privately owned condos available for rent, so the furnishings, appointments, design, and amenities differ from room to room (see photos.)

GermanyThe shower is not really well separated from the rest of the bathroom, so we had to use a towel/carper to stop the water from running out of the showering and flooding the bathroom. The WiFi also stopped working on three floors the day after we arrived, and unfortunately, this did not get fixed before we left, so we had to use the WiFi in the lobby.
The property has a great location. There are supermarkets, convenient stores, bars, and restaurants all within walking distance. There are also a car rental and tour agencies right at the entrance, and they offer better prices for guests. The room was very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool area was very nice and the private path to the beach was very convenient. The staff were super friendly and gave us good restaurant suggestions. We had a room facing the ocean, which was beautiful, but it was also quite loud due to the beach parties. So if you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest getting a room facing the other side.

IrelandThe CocoBongo beach party runs from 15h-20h and is quite loud so not ideal for people looking for something quite during that time period.
Great view, comfortable apt with decent facilities for self-catering as the food options around aren't great, the supermarket is 10min walk! Staff very helpful and accommodating, big shoutout to Marlene and Nancy! All-in-all would recommend and would rebook.
