Good location, too little service for the price

We came here because of a friends' recommendation, otherwise we wouldn't have chosen it. It wasn't really expensive, but it was just too basic: no air conditioning, no fridge, no included breakfast.

We had a good time and the location is really good even if not Central

The beds were surprisingly itchy. We could barely sleep during our stay due to constant parties that were taking place on the hotel grounds. Our complaints have been ignored. Staff very unhelpful. Never again.

Great location and interesting room layout.

Negative experience due to noise and unhelpful staff

First of all the beds were too small and left us itchy (all 6 of us in 3 different rooms!). Then the constant noise at night. First night children camping in the hotel backyard made noise until late. The second, guests there for a convention threw a party with loud music and singalong in the same backyard that went on until 3 AM. We went to the reception 3 times and the first time they pretended nothing was happening, the second they asked us to be patient and the third they tried to move them but failed because, quoting the receptionist, "they are too drunk to move". The last night was the same and just went on all night, just in the restaurant area, so basically outside our door. Basically we did not sleep. On top of this, some of us had to leave in advance due to a death in the family and they did not show any consideration, asking for full price and not helping at all. In general the receptionists are never happy to help, no matters the question, they seemed annoyed as if we were disturbing them. Not recommended.

The hotel itself looks nice, with archeological finds all around and cute rooms. The location is great if you want to visit the pyramid area and some good bars and restaurants are a short walk away

The beds were uncomfortable, lumpy and slopey. There wasn’t a bath towel in the room, (a fact I only discovered after I had taken a shower.. fun,fun).. something here regards quality assurance for housekeeping. The rooms are VERY ‘faux’ mexican in their decoration. This is OK, but I think the hotel would widen its appeal if they dialled this back a bit.

Location is good... the hotel directly looks towards the ‘pyramid’ (which is more of a hill really.. you are warned!) The restaurant staff were really friendly and welcoming. The chicken soup was exceptionally good. The water pressure in the shower was great and the water really hot. Plugs were in easily accessible locations (for chargers etc).

The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the service in the restaurant was excellent. Only a couple of the staff spoke English, but they did their best to communicate. The location is fabulous - opposite the main attractions of Cholula, and it was very easy to get around.

being a genius guest with booking .com we got early check in but had a problem with the room with no wifi in or outside as had with sister hotel so by time sorted we lost the gain of early check in They knew nothing of welcome drink but eventually gave us 2 extra bottles of water as they knew nothing about it - even though I had it on email as requested via booking.com as a genius offer The pool was filthy, green algae loads of tree fall . I waited to see if it would be cleaned ) as used the pool in the sister hotel part of reason for booking) After 2 days I asked if it was going to be cleaned - about ten mins later a worker started fishing out rubbish and then stopped he looked concerned that he needed a long time to sort - the pool never got any better and we did not use it as was concerned about getting an illness using ..it was disgusting. Rubbish seen on arrival was there 3 days later .. Piles of room service plates etc near our room were only moved once commented upon hours after attracting flies Same problem with beds as at sister hotel in Teotichuan the double bed did not fit 2 Europeans so my husband and I took turns in the tiny double/single bed. However this time the mattress had some foam on top which gave strange lumps and were uncomfortable to sleep on and raised during the night Very noisy guests in room next door on last night (3) security said they would sort at midnight final request to sort was at 4am - apology by reception in the morning but not good enough it was like a rave next door booming coming through the door. We booked two taxis with the hotel we had a problem, with the first for which a lovely lady said she would put s report in for to help other guests so I won't go into detail now as she said she would rectify in future ... But then we got a taxi to the bus station and had a taxi which had no seat belts in it ......

Close to the pyramid Nice toiletries , clean bedding A couple of the staff tried to be helpful but feel the management of the hotel lets them down

When we arrived the stuff couldn't find my reservation even after I showed the confirmation from booking.com. The reception girls speak 0 English and are not very willing to help. The rooms didn't have such basic things as towels and we had to go and ask for everything, and given that they we can't communicate the same language, every time it was a challenge. They took a deposit for the key and didn't want to give it back. In the restaurant they added meat in my vegetarian dish and then were very surprised that we didn't leave a tip. Some people were screaming inside the yard of the hotel at 2-30 at night, and nobody seemed to care. We had to go down to the reception to ask them to do something about it. The hotel is outside the city centre and it's not a pleasant walk. The hotel could't even make a pavement in front of it. If you want to go to the restaurants next to it, you have to either walk on the road or in the dust. Overall the hotel lacks basic facilities that you will find even in hostels.

The hotel has a view on the pyramid.

The water of the swimming pool isn't warmed, no view of Popocatepetl (a roof terrasse would be a good idea) great deal of unused gardens (why don't you put a mini golf?)

Very quiet, nice room, well decorated, great art all around, nice bathroom products. Great Mexican food but stay away from the burger.
