There was piped air freshener in the room; Strong enough to be overpowering. We were given a different room where it was less strong. This was all arranged very efficiently. I personally think that air fresheners are intrusive and would not use them in bedrooms.

4th visit to Danna. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was good. Pool is lovely. Rooms are beautiful.

I love everything about the hotel except for some small details, broken pool tiles and broken pool table in the game room, looks like not well maintained, and cutleries are not that clean. Otherwise, everything is perfect

Great location! Nestled in a secluded area with its own wide private beach, with the view of the mountains and the trees around the vicinity. Beautiful poolside, excellent poolside service, good breakfast and dinner buffet, Italian restaurant was also very good! Rooms are huge with a huge bathroom, with big windows overlooking the mountains.

Entertainment in the bar was ok but could have been more ambient. Would have been nice to be able to walk to other restaurants - all the ones in the immediate are seemed to be ‘temporarily closed’

Lovely setting on beach front with beautiful beach. Staff were very friendly, very attentive. Lovely rooms. Pool was amazing - one of the best I have ever used. Good restaurant and staff advised on other places to eat (need taxi for these but Jon no problem in arranging) We upgraded to a sea view room and were pleased we did- both because it was a beautiful view to wake up to every morning, and also the marina view rooms overlooked a lot of empty buildings (needs a bit of looking after but not the hotel’s responsibility)

Unfortunately they were understaffed. A lot of trainees so the service was very slow...... But everybody was extremely friendly so you forget you had to wait so long. The choice of restaurants is very limited. Actually there are only two restaurants and in Langkawi you eat in the hotels. The sea is very muddy and had jelly fish so no swimming in the sea.

The hotel is beautifully located next to the beach. There are plenty sunbeds around and in the swimming pool as well as on the beach. Amazing swimming pool! I loved the architecture of the hotel which gives a colonial, cosy atmosphere. Breakfast is very good.

From the facilities, to the room everything was perfect. In the room the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom is very spacious. Pool side is great and well taken care of - all the staff was very mindful and attentive. Overall the staff was an amazing surprise - everyone was so kind and welcoming. The food is also great.

I recommend not dealing with the hotel drivers for airport transfers due to the negative experience we had personally with organizing activities. Of course, this is not the hotel's fault, but mine. Although the hotel and its surroundings are fantastic, many things in the rooms are outdated, especially the air conditioning. For two nights, I couldn't find a suitable option; it was either too hot or too cold. Also, the pool water was too warm.
