Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe size of the room was a bit challenging when getting dressed and the distance from the main beach. But really I'd recommend you try it out for a night and decide for yourself because I'd definitely stay here again.
Area: It's away from the main beach so less noisy. Great views from here. Affordable eateries near by where the service was great. Check in: You get a water bottle upon arrival which you can refill at the restaurant with fresh drinking water. Room: The room was clean and very comfortable. It's a bit small but perfect for a few nights stay. The Aircon was lovely and waking up to such a view (we booked lower level room with chill area. Some units don't have the view. I'd recommend you pay the little bit extra for the view)

CanadaNote that even private bathrooms are a little bit of a walk away (not attached to the room) and expect to see some spiders hanging around since facilities are open air. Rooms are not very sound-proof so you are at the mercy of your neighbours (especially upstairs). Don't bring food into your room, you will get ants.
Fantastic concept and well executed. Getting a seaview room was a great decision, lots more privacy and had a small patio area to myself to enjoy the ocean. The attached Tapaz restaurant also served delicious food and drinks all day. The rooms and bathrooms were a lot cleaner than expected. I do recommend arriving during the day to get oriented in the daylight since nighttime lighting is low.

United StatesThe private but detached toilet and shower was weird and too far away for a late night trip. The shower drain was plugged so as I took a shower the floor filled with water.. it seemed unclean

GermanyShower curtain could be better fixed (so that the water does not splash around so easily in the entire bathroom)
Nice, tiny sleeping tubes with warm water shower (in an extra “room”/cabin) A restaurant facility is connected (I did only use it for a quick drink after arrival, so I cannot really give a reliable comment, only that the staff was friendly & helpful). An awesome breakfast/lunch location is close by (short walking distance / “Smiling Buffalo Cafe”) Air condition worked well (in connection with the cement tubes, it will cool down the tiny room quickly in the evening). Calm area (during my stay) Proximity to the airport Possibility to walk (after some meters back the road) alongside the shore to Cenang Beach

CanadaI checked in during dinner time (the restaurant and the hotel are the same staff) so I could feel stress vibes. Which was a totally different, chill vibe I got when I checked out in the morning. The lady that showed me to my room didn't speak very good English but she seemed really lovely. My first impression of the bathroom made me wonder when the last time the place had been swept. I get the bathroom isn't fully enclosed and nature will get in. But where there's a handful of leaves in the toilet and leaves clogging up the shower drain and leaves in the sink and all over the floor I just wondered why they didn't do a quick sweep before a guest checked in (it wasn't a last-minute booking). Not that it was dirty or anything. Just wasn't the best experience having a bathroom floor completely covered in leaves. Especially with how much I spent per night here. The other thing I'm really curious about is how you fit two people with luggage. It was perfect for me as a solo traveler because my suitcase lived on one half and I slept on the other half. But the entry to this place I could barely stand and close the door (and I'm really not a big person). There's not much space for luggage. It can also be challenging trying to get up to the second level as it's narrow and more like a ladder than stairs. The location is also very isolated and away from everything (I felt lucky a Grab car picked me up to take me to the ferry). It's also right beside the airport, so noise (though I don't think there are late or early planes). The wifi is also horrible and would not work for me. And the lighting was so dim I had to use my phone flashlight to see. I feel like with this place you're mostly just paying for the view.
I loved waking up in the morning with a view of the ocean. I could just lie in bed and listen to the waves. Such a great view. There are food stalls walking distance here, too. Water wasn't working at the time, but they did give some water bottles to drink. Air con was super cold.

AustraliaSometimes, you can hear air plans, the boards coming in and out of the channel, and the background music from the restaurant goes till late.
Great for a solo traveller. Beautiful view, good air cond. It is located in the backyard of a restaurant, which is very convenient (good food) No shared bathroom. Each room has its bathroom. The tube is perfect for one person plus luggage, for two people can get tight.

AustraliaThe location view wise is great but it is a bit away from anything so you'll have to get a grab or drive. The bathrooms were very basic and I had issues with opening and closing my doors.
The unique tubotel was very cool for a different kind of accommodation. The views from the pods was super nice and the Spanish restaurant Tapas served great food

MalaysiaWe had a private bathroom. Washroom/shower not clean before we checked in. Drainage was blocked at the shower area. Shower curtain not changed. Loads of mosquitoes. Nighttime and day. Probably the hotel management could call up the fogging team weekly to help prevent this.
The view is magnificent. The sunset view was breathtaking.

MalaysiaOverall it was dark. Light in pathway is dim and make me feel unsafe. Toilet has low wall and not much privacy. In my opinion it's pricey to stay here. I asked the staff to help book a taxi and was refused.

United KingdomCould be better gluten free options or at least allergen information on menus. I would have liked it if there was tea/coffee in the tube, however the owner was very accommodating in allowing us to boil our kettle (yes, we really travel with one) and make our coffee in the public spaces
Breakfast was outstanding. Lots of choice, and choices that I have never seen before. The quality and taste of all 4 breakfasts we had were fantastic. It was the best breakfast we had from 112 days of travelling Asia in similarly priced hotels. Staff were great, helpful and always on hand (including the boss, his wife and waitress Nanna). Seaview was beautiful. The hotel was very unique, colourful and well decorated. A quirky stay in the tube. There was a cute friendly dog on site. Free filtered chilled water on site.
