This is a really nice place on a hill. If you arrive by motorbike, I reccommend you rent a manual bike or a powerful automatic bike. A weak motobike will be difficult for you.

A little hard to access due to steep woad to the premise. May be slippery during rain. However, an Axia can power its way up the 100 meter incline.

Clean, quiet, peaceful. Near to the night market. Friendly and helpful staff. Very responsive owner. Breakfast spread, although limited variety, was delicious.

We stayed for two nights as a family. The only downside is the location on a hill, which requires going up and down, and the slope is quite steep. Everything else was very nice — peace and quiet, birdsong, greenery, no traffic noise. Very welcoming and friendly staff, the rooms were reasonably clean, the breakfast was not very varied but quite decent, and there is a good beach nearby.

Had a wonderful stat at Utan. The jungle view was beautiful offering a sense of privacy and serenity throughout the trip. A peaceful escape surrounded by nature . Highlight recommended for those looking unwind and recharge

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, as it’s surrounded by nature. Mornings were the best — cool and refreshing, perfect to start the day. I had a very good sleep every night thanks to the comfortable bed and the dark, quiet room. The breakfast was absolutely spot on — delicious and satisfying. The location is also very convenient — close to the beach, local eateries, and other attractions. If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place to stay, this is definitely a great choice.

This year, my parents requested to stay at this hotel as their birthday gift. They were immediately drawn to the hornbills and the beautiful natural surroundings. The atmosphere is very close to nature, with fresh and clean air. On the first day, my parents asked if they could check in early to get some rest, and once the hotel was ready, they kindly informed us that early check-in was available. As soon as they entered the room, it felt cool and refreshing—the air conditioning had been turned on in advance by the staff. The environment was clean and comfortable. We are truly grateful to all the staff members there; everyone was incredibly friendly. They also provided complimentary breakfast, and from the restaurant, you could see hornbills up close—an amazing experience! My parents stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and every single day, they praised the hotel staff for being exceptionally polite and courteous. Whenever they needed help, the staff were always eager and happy to assist. The swimming pool was impressively clean too. Throughout their stay, they felt completely relaxed. A big thank you once again to the hotel team for their outstanding service!

Our bungalow felt a bit dark, and the balcony was too small to really enjoy. Since it faced directly into the forest, it attracted quite a few mosquitos, which made it less inviting to sit outside.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The team was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit. It’s easy and affordable to rent a scooter directly from the accommodation, which is a great way to explore the island. The breakfast was delicious and a real highlight each morning. We loved the roti canai. The location borders the forest, which gives the place a peaceful, natural atmosphere – we often saw monkeys and birds around, which was a nice touch.

Nice place. Different style from others. But challenging to hike to the hotel. We are ride a bike. Easy to hike with bike to the top, but going down from the top hill with bike really scared..
