When in Swakop then in the Hansa Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, luggage is not a problem and the bellhops are ready at your car to assist in bringing everything to your room. Breakfast is a treat and isn't missing a thing, even German Brötchen and Omelets. The restaurant staff of Lucy and Carlos make the mornings and evening dining very personal and special.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

    The crystal museum is a must see.

    The crystal museum is a must see. Stadtmitte Cafe serves exceptional food (well worth the wait). The manageress at the Mermaid Casino was extremely rude, impolite and disrespectful when we attempted to leave the premises with a can of Coca Cola that we had purchased within the premises much to the embarrassment of the security personnel who apologised profusely to us on our departure.

    The quaint shops, excellent restaurants, with fresh seafood. A 'fat bike' cycle ride around dessert and beach of Swakopmund departing from the centre of town is not to be missed if you're capable to basic cycling. Book restaurants early!

    Swakopmund was our favorite city in all of Namibia.

    Swakopmund was our favorite city in all of Namibia. It is small enough to enjoy, big enough to have varied shopping, the beach area was superior to the desert beaches en route to Walvis Bay, plus a variety of excellent restaurants. Parking was very easy and safe at the Strand Hotel. The local crafts area was enormous. We walked EVERYWHERE once we parked our vehicle. My wife bought jewellery there. We maintained situational awareness but no one tried to steal from us.

    I really enjoyed my time in Swakopmund.

    I really enjoyed my time in Swakopmund. The jetty, beach walkways, and little curio shops were some of my favorite spots, there’s something magical about watching the sunset by the ocean. I tried a few places to eat, but The Tug and Ocean Cellar were definite highlights. The seafood was amazing and the vibe was just right. Getting around was super easy; everything was within walking distance and the town felt safe and welcoming. As a solo traveler, I loved the freedom to explore at my own pace. Whether it was beach walks, popping into cafés, visiting the museum, or just sitting by the ocean with a book. It was peaceful, refreshing, and exactly what I needed.

    We enjoyed visiting the museum and walking out the jetty. However if tourism is going to flourish the locals will need to learn to stop pestering visitors to buy such things as key rings. The system of tipping someone to look after your car is a real turn off and means people thing twice about stopping at all.

    The breakfast was decent, good variety and the setup was clean. The location of Swakopmund Plaza Hotel is honestly one of its best features. It’s right in the heart of town, which made it super easy to walk to most places like restaurants, shops, the beach, and popular attractions like the jetty were all just a few minutes away. I loved how convenient it was; I barely needed transport during my stay. Whether I wanted to grab a quick coffee or take a stroll to the ocean, everything was close by.

    The location just behind the Alte Amtsgericht is ideal: close to the Museum, Strand Hotel and it's excellent restaurants and close to the centre of Swakopmund. Everything is in walking distance. I got an apartment with a spacious bedroom cum bathroom and an even larger living room. Everything is modern, stylish and practical. THe breakfast buffet offers a nice English breakfast. And last not least all the staff members were super friendly and efficient.

    Nice big Apartment directly at the Beach, safe enclosed parking. From the Apartment you see the sea and the desert. Everything in what you need and very clean. You can use the amenities, like the pool of the Beach Hotel as well. Good Dinner and very good Breakfast (extra) are available at the Hotel Restaurant. Very quiet and still close to the town Center.

    Its location is perfect at the beach front, mid way between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. The rooms are very clean and spacious and worth the price. The staff is also very helpful from the driver who fetched me at the airport to the house help. I really enjoyed my stay with them and will do it again.
