Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaI personally don't enjoy the supper. I found that a fish preparation in the middle of the Namibian desert, a bit strange.
I mentioned that we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and they made us feel really special, by offering us a bottle of bubbly and a lovely layout in our "tent"

BelgiumWe ordered a lunch packet to take which was not to the same standard as the rest of the food we had on site.
The staff were so welcoming, friendly and professional. They catered for my lactose free diet without any issue. The pool area was clean and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent. We really appreciated the turn down service with hot water bottle :-). I also have to say the hairdryer was salon quality! Definitely the best on the entire trip.

The location was great for heading in ir out etosha without a long drive. They had a bbq the night we stayed and we had the chance to triy so many different local dishes and game meat.

United KingdomOur initial entrance into the camp was a bit disconcerting as the gates didn’t open automatically. When we got out of the car & got closer we could read the sign telling us to open & shut them manually!
Well equipped tents with a high degree of privacy . Delightful staff, excellent pool & central eating/sitting area. The latter looked stunning when lit at night. A very up-market gift shop selling interesting mementos. Our game drive outstripped our expectations, we saw lots thanks to our excellent guide Imelda.

Very pleasant communal areas that are beautifully furnished and very relaxing Superb afternoon and early morning game drives with Johaness who was knowledgeable and most helpful in taking pictures of animals and conveying information about them. He truly has amazing eyesight to spot a honey badger from such a distance. and he pours a good gin and tonic. Saw elephants, rhino, lions, hyena with cubs and some birdlife Pleasant dinner with set menu Staff set up breakfast before the early morning game drive which was appreciated

Mushers is amazing. Welcoming staff who were attentive and polite and very helpful. We booked a couple of game drives into Etosha with Johannes who was an awesome guide and meant when we then went on self drives we were better prepared and saw lots more stuff. The pool area is tranquil and a great place to relax and cool off. Lovely food throughout and an amazing place to see Etosha from.

United KingdomThe lodge was definitely 'child friendly'- children's play area, shallow area of the pool - 50 cm depth , children's area in lodge main area . As a couple who deliberately travel outside of school holidays to avoid children we felt this should have been flagged up more in it's description.
The 'tent' was wonderful. Loved the arrangement inside the tent, there was plenty of room and the overhead fan was lovely and quiet. The lodge itself was beautiful and staff was exceptional.

Beautiful, extremely well designed tents that didn't feel like tents- they felt like a 5-star hotel/spa! Everything, even down to the holder for the toilet paper was a custom fabricated piece designed for this gorgeous tent-like room. It was remarkable. My family really enjoyed the property and it's proximity to Etosha. My boys also spent quite a bit of time at the pool- which was a little cold in winter- but this was normal as none of the pools we visited in Africa were heated. The staff were so nice and we had a fantastic time eating in the common area. What a nice ambiance and the food was very very good. We also loved the campfire before dinner and listening to the other guests talk about their day and sightings. It was one of the few places we stayed in Africa where we really got to know the other guests in a short period of time - except for our safari- where we got to know everyone very well. We would highly recommend Mushara to other people visiting.

Great bush camp! Officially the place you sleep in is a tent, but it is a very luxury one! Every tent has a lot of.privacy. It's great to feel the wind softly blowing through 'room' you sleep in. Staff is great. Best beds we had during our trip in Namibia.
