Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsGreat place to enjoy the sunset and sleep with the waves mumbling softly in the background. We had a cute bungalow with all amenities, including a very good mosquito net. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made sure we had a taxi to bring us to the airport. Would stay again!

CanadaAfter all the positive reviews on the owners we had a surprising negative interaction with them on arrival. We were first taken to a bungalow which I had not booked & told it was an “upgrade”, (it is very rustic& basic, gaps between boards & no screens on windows. When requesting the room we had booked, the reaction was not a good one & we were made to feel very unwelcome. Apparently one of the rooms had to be closed off & as we were only there for one night we should not have the room we expected ( as told to us by the female owner with much emotion. She also muttered as she went to the great exertion of getting us towels for the room that she wished we would leave & then denied saying this when it was pointed out during her passive aggressive conversation. It was so bizarre & unexpected, we are not loud, disrespectful people, we just requested what we booked & it was available, so still don’t get all the animosity. I hope this is a one off. We left early and a cab was arranged by the owner who seemed very subdued & apologized for her behaviour the night before. After a month in Nicaragua & many rooms this was our only weird experience, glad it was only for the one night.
The location is very beautiful, kept in a natural state right on the ocean with a small beach, & apparently good snorkelling (never had the chance). The room size is generous & the room decor unique with lava rock, brick & wood. The bed is covered with a mosquito net & a fan is provided, the window is screened. There is a great area just outside the bathroom for luggage storage. There is surprisingly little breeze passing through so a bit stuffy. ( might just have been that night?) A sheer curtain doesn’t allow for much privacy. The smell is a bit damp & musty especially in the bathroom, but you are on the ocean after all. Chairs positioned outside the room were very nice to enjoy the ocean.

United StatesA bit rustic and no A/C. Food and drink a bit pricey compared to the rest of the island.

United KingdomJust be aware that if you eat out away from property you should use a taxi after dark as a little remote. That said there are plenty available and so cheap. Only hand wash provided

JapanThe property doesn’t have the most sealed rooms therefore expect mosquitos coming in and out at night. So much so that the bed comes with a mosquito net!
Location was amazing! À stones throw from the water, 15min walk from the port and a 15min walk to one of the nicest beaches around! The couple running the place were very welcoming and prepared a very nice breakfast for us- with very good (Italian) coffee!

United StatesYou can only use the WiFi at the main office restaurant area. I had a SIM card so it wasn’t a problem. However, the restaurant area is very close to all of the rooms.
The owners were very friendly and showed excellent hospitality. They provided important information about the island and staying safe as a solo female traveler. I had dinner there two nights. The food was fresh and delicious! I also liked that it was within walking distance to the panga and local shops. I would definitely book again if I visit the Corn Islands or recommend to a friend!

CanadaWonderful accommodations. Only thing that could be improved was the bed. It was a double and so it was a bit tight for two of us. Also was quite firm. That’s just a personal preference. There are no see ems, to be expected, so bring bug spray.
The owners were wonderful. Very hospitable and welcoming. They made exceptional food and tended to our every need. We had a special request for our stay, and they delivered. Wonderful accommodations right on the beach.

CanadaThe room, though accurately represented in the photos, was uncomfortably hot with no wind, and we found large spiders and a roaches during our stay, which was somewhat unsettling but kind of expected in a casita like this. The property itself seemed run-down and in need of maintenance, which detracted from the overall appeal of the hotel. The breakfast, though available for an additional cost of $7, was underwhelming, with runny scrambled eggs, tomatoes and toast with homemade jam and one coffee ( no refills)
I appreciated the friendly owners who were quick to accommodate our request for extra pillows, and the proximity to the beach, which provided a soothing ambiance with the sound of waves. The hotel's affordable price of $55 per night was an attractive feature as well.

Constanza was the perfect host during my short stay, from giving general tips to helping me choose where to go for dinner (they have a restaurant on site, but you have to book in advance). My room was spacious and clean. The hotel is only a short walk away from Pic Nic beach.

NetherlandsWe saw 2 cockroaches. The lower part of the wall is made of sea rocks, which adds to the sea style of the room. However there are little cracks in between these rocks where those little bastards hide.
Very nice and quiet location. You fall asleep and wake up with the sound of the ocean. Good breakfast and friendly hosts! Very spacious rooms provided with a square mosquito net, so you don't get tangled in it.
