Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Many bedroom windows dont have blinds, or the blinds are pretty porous, would be good to add those for better sleep
Fantastic, fresh delicious breakfast! Nice garden. Cute cats. Quiet, not on the louder beachfront, just 2 mins walk from the beach. Spacious room

De curtains could be darker
De room was perfect! Lots of space, nice AC and comfortable bed but also on your own terrace a nice Seat! Lovely!

The only bad thing was there is no hot water for showers but that is a luxury in Nicaragua.
It was beautiful and very clean. Excellent location. Very comfortable beds and a mosquito net which was great.

Blinds on the windows would have elevated the experience as lights did shine through throughout the night, other than this everything was great!
It was a great location, great facilities, great host & lovely cats! It was very clean & spacious!

Beautiful property and good location to access both sides of the beach. Rafa was very nice and welcoming and the food I had there was delicious. As a solo traveller it was a little hard to meet people but if you’re looking for a private stay this is ideal.

Very far from most cafes and restaurants The second night there was a power cut so we slept without ac or fans Host was slow to reply that day meaning we were uncertain of what was going on We felt rather unsafe as there was no lock on gates leading into the property There was someone wandering around in the night Staff was not that friendly Shower curtain didn’t block water Big white light shining into the room which has only 2 curtains that are transparent
Bedroom was a good size Bathroom was nice Balcony was nice Sheets were soft Kitchen was well equipped

There is quite a few mosquitos outside at night.
Loved how close it was to the beach and the aircon in the rooms was so good!!

We had an amazing time at Mola Mola. This charming place is in front of the beach, on the main Street of Guasacate, close to the restaurants and supermarket. The room is very quiet, spacious and well furnished with AC, a nice bathroom and comfy bed. Wifi in our room was well working. There is adorable 3 cats on the property and they are always looking for strokes :) The kitchen is perfect if you want to cook for yourself with lots of kitchen tools. Rafa the owner is a nice human, always willing to help and with some good advices if you want to surf or discover the area. Marisol who is working here is also very nice. You can also rent motorcycles there. So we will definitely come back at Mola Mola and surf the amazing waves of Popoyo. Thanks Rafa and the cats :)

This property was advertised as being in Popoyo, and it was actually in Guasacate. Upon arrival, the only obvious door was locked, and it wasn't clear where to check in. It was also advertised that they served breakfast, which they do not currently. There was a huge, bright flood light on a tree that made it impossible to sit on our balcony at night without being blinded, and it also completely lit up our room all night.
The room was nice, comfortable, and very clean. The staff were pleasant. The area was very quiet and peaceful. It was a quick, easy walk to the beach.

Never return our change even though he said will return our change same or next day when we left we don’t see him Far from market only one restaurant close and if you want breakfast at the place it is cheaper in the restaurant

The WIFI in our room was not great but it worked well by the kitchen.
We stayed for 10 days. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place this is it. Our room was spacious, modern and clean. We also enjoyed a large deck and a shared well equipped kitchen. The 3 cats on the property were a bonus. Very friendly! Rafa is the most positive and helpful host.

Everything! Rafa was an incredible host with such a warm and friendly nature. The cabins are set in such a beautiful setting within a tropical garden, even with heavy downpour it was nice to enjoy under the porch. The healthy meals are cooked fresh everyday which were the perfect fuel for surfing. Finally, finishing the day with a sunset swim on the beach was simply amazing.

There’s nothing that I didn’t like
The place was so nice and cozy. Rafa is an awesome host and very attentive to make sure the guests are comfortable and always able to be reached out in case you need something; plus you only need to take 1 minute walk to get to the beach

There was construction next door which was very loud in the morning (but of course not mola mola’s fault).
Very close to the beach, and super nice balcony. And the Host Rafa is super nice and helpful!
