I would not recommend the location for a solo woman traveler. I've been harassed on the streets of the neighborhood +10 times, this is too much... The hotel is safe fortunately! With a well locked door and keys. I never managed to switch on the TV and I didn't understand what the water bin in the shower was for. The departure was very confusing. I said what time I was leaving when I arrived. The D-day, no-one was around, I rang the desk bell, but no-one came. I waited for 15 minutes and a lady came by, so I gave her the keys back.

The entrance is confusing. One door will probably be open with a fence (I called there) but in reality the closed door further is the entrance. I think the owners live in the first part and the hotel is the second. I was greeted by a lovely elderly couple. I helped them register me in their book (not digital, the old-fashioned way!) because the owner couldn't see. He didn't seem to know I was coming but that didn't pose a problem. NB: They don't speak English. But we understood each other with a few Spanish words and gestures. He gave me the tour, explained how the keys worked, and asked me to turn off the lights and ventilation when I will leave. The room and bathroom were clean. The ventilation worked well. There's a mango tree in the garden, so hopefully you'll get some mangoes! Be aware for allergies: there are two friendly dogs.

Raquel is a very good host. She was very kind and very helpful. I was new to this country and she helped me with a few things. The whole team is very attentive. My appartment was very clean, the breakfast delicious and the whole area very comfortable and cozy. Really recommend to stay there.

Breakfast was a Little expensive (compare to the outside prices but was well served and very fresh. Location was the point made me pick tis hotel and the staff was always smiling and ready to help.

The room info on booking.com stated that our room includes air-conditioning. That was obviously not accurate - there was only ventilation in the room. We also had some problems connecting to the hotel wifi but that was in the end solved.

The breakfast was really good. Also, the atmosphere in the hotel was very nice with plants and trees on the patio. The hotel also offered a transfer to our next location which was really convenient and at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately the WiFi was not working for us, we tried the different options on different devices but no luck. It seemed better the next morning so maybe this was just a temporary issue.

Beautiful place with a lot of plants. Save place, although the surroundings look a bit unsave. But its just a feeling, don't had any troubles at all. Close to Bus Terminals to Costa Rica.

This place need to be checked , zero hygiene last night I got scorpion 🦂 running down from the other bed it was super scary moment, I checked below the bed there’s so much dirt and super dirty mattress.. couldn’t sleep all night had to drag the scorpion out .. bathroom floor super slippery and dirty

Too many rules. no smoking (understood) but you can not drink in your own room even a beer. You can not bring alcohol to your room. They gave me three beds room and all thin. No AC just fans. They made me fill and sign Rules form like I am a rule breaker kind of guy. Area not so good dark and facilities around not good.

Breakfast was good but you have to pay for it around $8.

Everything was fine!

Super friendly staff!!! The hotel is at a good base to walk to a hill or to go to the malecón and the old cathedral. We arrived and felt immediately at home. They gave us nice ideas of where to go and they even drove us twice somewhere with their car without charging us!
