In the annexe you wake up when people in the room above are moving around at night or arrive to the hotel later at night.

Lovely and beautiful place with friendly staff and superb breakfast.

Reception at the first floor not manned. Had to carry my luggage 1 level up (no elevator) and than down again since rooms where in different building. Also Parking at walking distance was paid per hour. Further away (10 min walk) a parking with a daily rate available.

Location and view from the room. The furnishing of the room was very tasteful. Location of the breakfast/ dining room and view were also magnificent.

Ideal location set in a most picturesque town. Sailing, cycling, walking and just relaxing. Excellent restaurant and service. Would definitely return.

The breakfast could have bigger selection of food. One king size bed in place of two joined single beds would be much better

Great breakfast place with magnificent view over the bay.

The rooms are not sound proof. You can hear every move, noise and conversation held in the rooms while having your tv on. The rooms were not located in the main building which is not really an issue. The issue is that it's located at the main road to the historical part of Veere and since the rooms and building are not build to be soundproof or isolated to be soundsproof, with every car or person passing by you jump up in bed and abruptly woken out of your sleep. Luckily the traffic is less at night. We paid 163 euros for this hotel. I find this a lot of money for no comfort at all. Needless to say that we had no sleep at all and left the hotel exhausted.

The location, breakfast and the historic old building.

Lots of stairs, some steep, and no lifts - fine for us, but not for everyone. Rooms are comfortably but not luxuriously equipped and lighting levels are low. A small point: I would have appreciated a bottle of water in our room.

You could not ask for a better location in this picture-perfect old town: the hotel hosts a street café on the landward side, while the best rooms and the lovely, atmospheric dining room face the harbour and the waterfront. Breakfast was delicious and charmingly served; while the night we chose to dine in the formal restaurant was a real treat, with exceptional cooking and an extensive and fine wine list. We were tempted by the offer of bike hire. We hadn't ridden any distance for about 40 years but it's true that you don't forget and the terrain is perfect for the novice, with lots of separated cycle paths, lovely scenery and no hills. The hotel has been in the ownership of the same family for nearly 70 years. Among other paintings well worth a look, there is a fine portrait of the father of the current owner hanging in the restaurant.

Struggled with this place in ways that would take up too much space here to elaborate.Personal opinion-it felt like a motel that had a small room, no convenient parking but at quite high rate.Did not eat in the hotel proper so the only time we entered the main building was to check in (and out)-on the first floor!
