We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSAFETY!!! Too dark! Add many strings of solar lights. The darkness around the property makes it easy to stepping in duck poop! & twist an ankle. Solar lights all around would be safer & pretty. Walking to comfort bldgs. should be more lite up at twlight. More live music(impromptujam sessions). Brightly neon painted posts & car curbs around the vast property. Tripped over 1 & snapped my already damaged knee.
The reception staff. The uniqueness of the wagonette.

United KingdomI returned my key to reception this morning. The receptionist was on her phone and took my key and went back to her phone without acknowledging me. I stood there for two minutes thinking that she was in the process of checking me out of my room. She was literally just looking at her phone. Why let me stand there and wait ? Do a little better.
I liked my room and the location outside of Amsterdam which was quiet and felt like you were in nature. The showers were hot and the facilities were better than expected. Most of the staff members were friendly enough.

CanadaThe rooms are great!! Our only downside was ants everywhere!!! It was infested with ants sadly. They did switch us to an upgraded room. Whi h was much better but cleaner for sure. Thankfully ants are pretty sanitary but do bite. I understand the urge to preserve wildlife and not put poison out or anything unsafe. But there's safe alternatives to infestation. Preserving wildlife and dealing with infestation are two completely different things. Borax or something safe would be ideal. But nonetheless would return. Cute little resort with everything you'd need. Loved the people, our stay and bike rental prices.

CanadaThere were lots of little bits of info, codes, etc that were a bit tricky but they were meant to enhance security so that's ok.
This was a great stop on our European adventure. The site is close to the city, has all the amenities you need, outdoor kitchen, bakery, store, restaurant, bar, and lots of places to chill. We stayed in an eco cabin. It was small but ok.

IrelandKitchen was tiny and very few facilities to cook for yourself. We didn't have a camper van and came by plane so had no camping equipment (plates, cups, knives, etc) so had to go to the supermarket and buy them for the duration of the trip. I was expecting the kitchen to be like standard hostel kitchens. This is a challenge when u have kids.
Very clean facilities, the view was beautiful and good access to Amsterdam city centre and Centraal Station by tram.

United KingdomI don't think the hired bikes are safe. You can hire bikes from the hostel, but they use a back pedal braking system. I am a very experienced cyclist (I cycle most days for commuting and socialising, and I cycle long-distances for sport). I had never used a back pedal braking bike before and I had a lot of trouble getting the bike to stop in an adequate time. When you brake using the back pedal system it seems to still take several meters to come to a stop. Every time I went over a bridge or downhill I needed to put my feet on the ground ultimately to come to a stop. I got shouted at by Dutch people a couple of times because of this slow braking system. I noticed that a lot of the hired bikes in Amsterdam seem to use this back pedal braking system. There may be a knack to it. However, this back pedal braking system is not commonly used in most parts of Europe and when your guests are tourists and most people are used to front brakes, you should have front brake bikes. Bathrooms and showers were shared between men and women. I would prefer to have separate spaces for women. Also I think the campsite shop was very overpriced and they should provide washing up liquid in the kitchen area. Staff were sometimes friendly sometimes didn't seem that bothered.
I think it was good value for money. I loved the green roof of my little hut and that it was right next to the water. I thought it was warm and comfortable. The room had a high ceiling which made it feel more spacious, and it included a folding chair so I could sit outside and have my breakfast. Well designed layout of the campsite. Other guests were mostly very considerate. I would definitely recommend staying here to friends or family. It is a budget option - the main other budget option in Amsterdam is staying in a hostel, and I didn't want to do that as I'm in my 30s and prefer somewhere peaceful. Especially given that so many people go to Amsterdam to party.

DenmarkThere weren't that many things I didn't like :o) I was in a wagonette, which turned out to look very different from the one displayed when I was booking it. It wasn't really a problem, but I'm generally not a fan of this kind of thing (let us show you a picturesque log cabin wagonette and then put you in a much less picturesque one). I'm sure the very small print must have said this, but no, not a fan of this in general. The wifi was horrid. It got better before 7am when most of the camp was asleep. As someone without the internet on my phone, I do need internet access through other means. It's also not quite true that you can get out of the camp any time - you can, but for leaving you too need the bar code. I was sure glad I hadn't left my printed one in the bin when leaving the wagonette. (Though I'm sure the friendly staff would happily let you out after 8:30, when they arrive - you might just need to stand in a long queue for quite a while, so factor that in if you need to catch any connections.)
I really enjoyed being farther away from the city centre, where I walked from and to from the camp while I was staying. It was really nice to be in a quiet and leafy location after a day spent in town. I loved the aesthetics of the place - lovely colours. Also plenty of showers and toilets, I thought. Possibilities to rent a kayak and a paddle board and a bike.
