We stayed for 2 night. Second day we returned late afternoon to the room to find that the bed was made but nothing else. Particularly the bathroom was not serviced at all and all the dirty towels left and not changed. Calling the receception we were told they do not gave any....we are talking of 4 stars hotel The staff washed few towels...at the end. Also the dirty glssses were left on the desk.

long wait for room service - 1.5 hours, mistakes in food orders and paid no attention to dietary requirements eventhough pre-announced. No special arrangement for birthday eventhough a request was put in. Rooms could be a bit cleaner, staff could be a lot nicer.

Rooms are very spacious, the sculpture garden gives a nice touch to the stay, table service for breakfast

Fabulous old building with many quirky statues and bronzes. The fixed price menu was outstanding. This is a real 5 star restaurant and very reasonably priced.

Climate in the room was difficult to manage. But with opening the windows (during winter time) we manage to get quite some heat out of the room

Average food, terrible breakfast, understaffed and overpriced.

They are trying to position themselves as a high-end luxury hotel, but don't be deceived by the charming photos. Don't trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar! Their presentation (building, garden and decoration) is great, but their service is absolute terrible. We had one young guy, who did an excellent job, running the entire hotel by himself. Hotel is understaffed and not catered to international travelers. I don't recommend going here!

Hosting tourists like us wont pay the bills here so the owner/managers must concentrate on their main game - fine dining & event catering. Keep out of their way & eat simple meals in their charming bar is the way ro go, Otherwise you better find some fancier clothes to take your place in the exquisite dining room for your 5 course meal.

If you want to imagine overnighting in an 18th C manor house, this place you must try. The newly created attic rooms permit an intimate proximity to the majestic chimneys, the home of the famous local stork family. You are so close to them that you can hear the 'storklings' rattling their juvenile beaks when hungry to attract Mum & Dad.
