How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

TV services wasnt great. There was a scrubba in my room, a dry one.
It's close to most attractions. Great travel links around. The staff was nice, pleasant and helpful.

Nothing as I felt I paid a fair price for the no frills experience.
The room was basic but clean. The location is fantastic. The hotel was also very quiet, which was great for a deent nights sleep!

I didn’t like that the rooms were tiny as the bathroom door didn’t open fully because of the bed. And as a plus size girl I struggled. I also didn’t like that the fire alarm went off during the night with no explanation or even any mention on it the next day.
I loved how central this hotel was I would definitely recommend to tourists. It is a 2 second walk away from the train station and there are a lot of clothes and food shops near by for handiness

I have no reason to highlight any issue as the staff and location were vital for my short break . I slept very well . It was very good value . Reviews highlighting negatives can put people off .
The location was fantastic . Near everything . Metro to central station only one stop . The staff were excellent .24 hour desk attendance was great as they were so helpful . Kareem and Rossini were the two I had most dealings with and their advice was very helpful . I felt safe in this location as a solo traveller .

Once using the shower the room would get a lot of condensation causing the floors and walls to be wet. Our tv remote didn’t work, we changed channels using buttons on the tv but the channels are all Dutch anyway so we didn’t watch much tv :)
Amazing location, everything you need is on your door step. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the room had everything needed

Only issue we had was there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room.
Fantastic location as so central to everything. Bed very comfy and room lovely and warm. Excellent shower. Check in very straight forward and kept our luggage for us on check out.

Not as clean as I’d like and a little run down, (no lampshade on a light, few stains on sheets etc), quite noisy on a night with the trams and veichles but not too bad overall.
PERFECT location, the bed was memory foam so super comfortable and the staff were super lovely!

Room was cold first night I had were t-shirt and jumper sleeping and floor was like freezing during night what ground in bathroom is normally

No tea and coffee facilities in the Room. There was the offer of a coffee machine for free in reception which is a good idea. But personally I prefer a cup of tea in my room first thing of a morning. Just my own preference

It wasn’t perfectly clean. The rooms were tiny. The heating/AC was broken but they gave us a small heater to warm up. They handled the issue quickly.

The staff members weren’t very pleasant with us seemed as if we was a burden there , NO HEATING WITHIN THE HOTEL although we did get given another duvet . Fire alarm went off numerous times within our stay, the TV in a bad position only Dutch channels .
The property was very well located , Room was quite spacious and very comfortable
