"air conditioner" in the Jury room along the canal left a lot to be desired. In their defense it's not obvious what else could be done given the architecture of a centuries old cellar warehouse.

Great location, wonderful, helpful staff. We wanted to have a drink in the bar one evening but it happened to be quite noisy that night. They led us to a nearby quiet area and served us there instead. Front desk staff was really helpful looking up local info for us and arranging bag storage and taxi.

It was an unpleasant fact that we had booked a room with a city view and they gave us a room with a view of the back. We complained but they told us that they could not change it because they were full. We also think that the general cleaning of both the hotel and our room could be more thorough.

The hotel lift was out of order during our stay, with no explanation or advanced warning at all. There are long flights of stairs to climb up and down, with our luggage, to/from the third floor! 🥴 It seems it's been out of order for some time? The management should have contacted/warned guests and given us alternatives, for example cancellations.

The room was not clean enough (dust everywhere/coffee machine needed cleaning), the bottle of the liquid hand soap was empty, a general lack of attention to detail, which is not expected from a 4 star hotel and the paid price. I would recommend to remove all plastic flowers and plants from the decoration of the hotel, they rather deteriorate the overall modern touch of the hotel. Lastly, the breakfast is rather basic. Further options and better quality would be appreciated and more compatible with the 4 star

The entrance to the hotel is in need of updating. There were signs that this may be about to happen but during our stay the steps we not cleaned once leading to a general littering of the area. This is a shame as it gives the wrong impression of the inside of the hotel.

The door to the bathroom made a loud snapping sound when closing, and there was a moment where the bathtub drain let out a horrible smell. Neither made a big impact on our trip however.

Overall, too exensive place. Rather dull breakfast. The lift is a disgrace - very dirty. While the bed-sheets were really nice, the bed itself was too soft and bumpy.

The hotel is perfectly located close to the main attractions of Utrecht, in a calm street. My room was spatious and nice. There were many drawers to put your staff in, and a desk. Good lightning! The staff was nice. Very easy check-in/check-out procedures.

When I arrived the room smelled damp, as if the bathroom had had a recent leak. This went away with airing by about 2 am. So, probably a dehumifyier between guests and airing would avoid that negative impression upon arrival. There was an ironing board but no iron. Sure, I could have asked, but I only had from 11 pm to 8:15 am for everything, including meeting prep, so didn't take the time. There was no toaster at breakfast (and for those not Dutch, Dutch "squeezy bread" is barely edible without) , boiled egg was hard and cold. I don't understand why hotels tend to have fruit but no tomatoes or other veg for breakfast, but its an international standard... I was promised an emailed receipt which did not arrive. So while I was made feeling overly exacting in asking for a printout, I was proved right that this was necessary.

Its a great location, with reasonably sized rooms where the windows open, and a desk is there as well. There are some snacks in the room (crisps and the like), and free lemon/mint water to carry up. Thanks to the friendly receptionist I could also get a much needed glass of wine though the bar was just closing. Breakfast had freshly pressed juice! And fruit and yoghurt. Also, design matters, and the rooms and breakfast room are nicely designed, making this a special place
