Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayArriving on Valentine's day, every single eatery in town was fully booked. The fact that this hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor but does not offer room service is appalling. Just a totally idiotic thing.
Super central location for everything you could imagine wanting to do in central Breda.

FranceThe only thing missing is to be able to make tea or coffee in the room. Knowing this l bring my own ...( l can because l am in a car so no hassle ) Otherwise have no negative views. I see people comment on the noise .....it is in the main square!! And at times of course you hear the outside .... I stayed this time not long after Christmas....it was fine .
I have stayed in the hotel regularly and like the atmosphere , the staff ae helpful , the breakfast is good and the rooms are clean and comfy. I like this hotel .

ChinaReception in a bar failed to find in the night and luckily I was asked to check in after some minutes. The lift is also tiny for 1 person 1 luggage, but after on the floor you stayed, you have to put luggage on some steps to your room. Not suggested heavy luggage like mine to stay. However, the room is the best I stayed in Europe, comfortable and feeling like home.
Hotel was an old building, rooms felt like home.

LatviaUncomfortable sleep - beds with soft mattress and huge pillows that cause pretty bad back pain the next day. Would be nice to have small pillows as options at least - we used decorative throw pillows wrapped in towels instead. While the room looks modern, it seems like they didn't level the floor - so it's uneven and creaks when walking. My bed had one side lifted up higher than the other one, making you roll to the center, contributing to back pain and poor sleep. Lighting in the room was very harsh. Two spotlights in the center of the room for general lighting and another spotlight above the sink mirror. Basically bright spotlights shining into your eyes whenever you're in bed. Maybe we're unlucky, or it's the cheap room, but the view out the window was the wall with windows of the other hotel room about 1.5m away. TV was in audio-only mode for some reason. There's interface, and one could see a small video preview in the channel browser, but no picture otherwise. We didn't bother asking about this at the reception, but this might be important to some. The unfortunate consequence of living next to a church is that it has a clock/bell tower. That starts making noises every 15 minutes starting from about 6am and finishing at about midnight. Not a huge issue unless you didn't close the window for the night. Minor thing, but could be important for some: the room has a weird layout that I've seen in some older German/Austrian places, where you have a sink/mirror next to the bed, and toilet/shower is behind a door. So no way to wash your hands after using the bathroom other than switching on the shower.
Hotel is located right on the main square of the historical center next to the cathedral. Takes 10-15 minutes to reach from the train station. Reception is located through the restaurant area, which can be confusing when arriving, but guests are provided keys to the side entrance leading directly upstairs. Room is large and spacious, and despite the building being old, it's renovated to look quite modern. TV is provided for entertainment. Breakfast is served in the restaurant area below with a good selection of food. Hot options are standard scrambled eggs/bacon as well as a local specialty - spiced sausage meat in a bun. Otherwise it's bread, pastry, cold cuts, cereal. Coffee/tea are made and served by the staff. Make sure to check out the Dutch granulated chocolate that one is supposed to sprinkle on a buttered bread.

Czech RepublicEach room has a very heavy door and you can hear it closing somewhere in the hotel quite often. It's not only hearable but mostly it causes trembling so you can really feel it, especially when you wanna sleep.
Hotel Is placed directly on the main square, just footsteps from the Old church, restaurants are everywhere around. So if you wanna be in the centre, this is the place. The room was comfy, bathroom a bit small and not that easy to hang around. There is some noise during nights, especially Saturday, but that is logical due to location. Breakfast was absolutely perfect.

ItalyBreakfast might be richer. Few choices were available, even if still good.
My comfort room was unbelievably big, with a beautiful bathroom equipped with a window. So, it looked even bigger because of the sunlight. The bed was very big as well, and everything was perfectly clean. Moreover, the position of the hotel is perfect, just in the middle of the city center.
