We had booked a room with a canal view (and presumably been charged more for this) but the view was obscured by scaffolding. However, I guess maintenance work is to be expected at this time of year.

Breakfast was excellent, room cleaning was exceptional and service generally was professional. We loved the location, absolutely central and just a short walk from the main square and the attractions we wanted to see. Even the train station is just a short walk away.

I always book this hotel for my parents when they visit me in Delft. The staff is the best! So welcoming, helpful and kind. They offer a personal service and by the end of my parents' stay all the staff recognized us straight away. For example, we left delft to go for a weekend in Belgium and the staff accepted to look after my parents' luggage with no additional charge. When we were back, the luggage was already waiting for them in their new room! The breakfast is very generous and contains a lot of variety. You can choose to try their scrambled or boiled eggs on one day, or opt to make a yoghurt and muesli on the next. of course they also have breads, croissant and lots of cheeses and cold cuts! The hotel is newly renovated so the rooms are comfortable and cozy. The location is also simply GREAT as it is a 3 minute walk from both the tram stops and the main train station in Delft. Alternatively, the hotel is also a 5 minute walk from Delft's market place. I will always aim to book a stay at this hotel every time my parents come to visit!

I didn't quite like the carpet in the room, but I guess it is because I am allergic to it, so I should say I'd have preferred if the floor was not carpeted. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

They stop the heating at 00:00 until 5am, which is unacceptable for a four star hotel. The room we booked was not the room we received - images and descriptions don’t match with reality. We told the management, they told us they were unaware but I highly doubt it.

I can’t think of anything I would change.

The location is excellent for exploring Delft and there’s a public car park five minutes walk away (€19:20 for 24 hours Dec 2023). The staff are friendly and helpful (English speaking) and the reception was manned throughout the day.
