Prime location with beautiful view on the Prinses Margrietkanaal. Hotel has an ecclectic, nostalgic feel. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful, with locally sourced cheeses and meats. You know you are in Friesland, but you might have been in France, with wild boar as a main must-have. Mr and Mrs Van den Akker care for you as if you were family. Room to moor up your boat and stay overnight.

The place exudes a wonderful historic ambience. The first "official"boat races were held here in the late 18th century in attendance of William 4, stadholder. The large terrace gives on to a busy cross roads of waterways with lots of small yachts and big boats passing. All topped off by most friendly and obliging hosts!

This hotel has an enourmous potential, the room was excellent but a modernisation of the rest could be beneficial, The staff was super friendly and we relly enjoyed our stay!
