There is no proper shower, just a dangerous high and slippery bathtub with a plastic curtain. No proper reading lights, tv sound not audible, it might disturb the other guest, shows you the quality of the insulation. Despite the new carpet, the 20m2 room (deluxe....) looks vey tired and not worth the scandaleus euro 351,00 (breaksfast euro 25 extra), the hotel demands for this room at the back of the hotel.

It’s an adjacent apartment, not in the main building. It’s clean but the furniture is very old and tired looking. You can sleep five people, for a family or kids it’s a great value and it has a nice big terrace and functional kitchen. For a single person a room in the hotel is better.

The guests in the Hotel were noisey, the rooms are not well sound proofed in the Hotel.

Staff were helpful, breakfast is in the basement in a dining area with purple light reflecting off 2000 years stone walls, a well, and other ruins. Our room was a good size, it was clean, housekeeping was good. Fabulous location. Restaurants and cafes are at the door set in the most beautiful square.

    - - the bed (matrass) in the appartment was worn out, no pleasure to sleep there at all - the large bathroom had only a bath, no separate shower, is usually ok, but this bath was high, difficult to get in and even more difficult ( and dangerous) to get out , on a stone floor - the rooms was not serviced during our two-days stay in this hotel appartment - the breakfast was O.K. but expensive

There was not enough light in the rooms - need at least 1 overhead light to compliment the spotlights. My room had windows which opened over the small street behind the hotel, allowing all the noise from the adjacent professional kitchen into the room until 1-2am!

Very modern furniture and décor which looked very attractive. Extremely clean and spacious, right in the centre of Maastricht. All Reception employees were very friendly and helpful.

My only problem was with booking.com

Everything was great with the Hotel. My complaint is with Booking.com. I asked fro a suite but there were 3 kind of suites and only one offered city view with terrace and unfortunately that suite was already reserved. So even though we paid for a suite with terrace and city view we did not get one...The management try to reimburse us by sending us a bottle of wine which was a nice gesture!!!

Room was very noisy. Seemed like discount on Booking.com was reflected in the position of the room. room in the furthest corner of the hotel. Noisy though room came with earplugs as an added insult. Parking arrangement should be explained to guest. The offer to pay for the parking was made when leaving.

Location of the hotel. Nespresso coffee in the rooms a good touch. Good quality bath products.

Breakfast at €25 was too expensive to be appealing with so many nice coffee places around. Corridor looked a bit run down - but the rooms didn't.

Staff unprofessional, but friendly. Room furnishing rather poor compared to similar hotels in same price range, like Steigenberger. Shower in the bath which is risky ( no supports to hold on to) Staff for diner at terrace was inexperienced, frequently looking and asking at which table to deliver drinks as they lost track. Waited 30 min. for 2 glases of wine, which then as an excuse to their credit were delivered free of charge. Breakfast was poor, limited selection, amateuristic staff.

There were no proper curtains in the room (only transparent ones) so it was impossible to block out the light in the morning. The breakfast was way too expensive, more than in any other hotel we stayed in while in the Netherlands (didn't buy it so can't comment on quality)

My room, which was a junior suite, was very noisy in the mornings (from early), also on busy evenings, due to being on the corner of the street and main square. Would recommend a back room away from the square.

The pillows were a bit to hard (for my personal liking) Also the set maximum volume of the television is set rather low, but I was told -at request- this can be changed to a higher volume by management staff. This also has an adventage: no noisy tv's of your neighboring hotel guests keeping you awake all night :-) Parking in the public underground parking garage is a bit expensive at €25 per day (or €22,50 with a €2,50 hotel reduction voucher)

There was a persistent smell of dead mice in the 3rd floor corridors. The height of the shower head mounting was not sufficient to take a full shower for people taller than 1.60 m. When sleeping with an opened window, you should be able to sleep through the audible noise of cafe-cruising people in the streets below.

The room on the 3rd floor was very spacey, even an additional bed (eg for children) could be accommodated. Good TV, free wifi, hot water. And a minibar which actually held some drinks and snacks!

I committed to stay at this hotel because it is stated to have private parking on site. It does not have a car park on site. It has a valet parking service which takes a while to retrieve one's car and to which one does not have access during one's stay. The hotel is grossly over-priced for the small size of rooms/bathrooms and facilities. Breakfast is adequate. Air conditioning is noisy but necessary.

For us, we found the hotel generally lacked character and ambiance.

Very well equipped room and the adjustable reclining bed.

Only the price of the Andre Rieu meal, I felt it did not give value for money.

It was comfortable, clean and efficient welcoming staff.
