I didn’t realise I’d have to climb 56 very steep stairs to my room. I worked out that I could go out all day long and only have to do it once a day. The room was pretty Spartan, and no en suite, but the loo was next door.

I've seen psych ward rooms that looked better than my room, but it has it's charm and for the price it's still better than sleeping in a hostel with 7 strangers in the room. Space is limited (especially in the bathroom it's hard to turn around) but the staff makes it up in service.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room fullfilled its purpose. The location was great, extremely central and in a nice area to take a stroll around.

The inside of the building is in need of an upgrade. The room itself had mismatched furniture, poor decor and the window didnt close properly. I read the reviews before i booked so i was well aware of the condition.

The mattress was extremely comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The cheapest single room in Amsterdam, sharing shower and bathroom for over 5 rooms was abit annoying. Location is fine. The receptionist Mohamed is the best

Some small lamp near bed and shelves in room would be nice. Just one electric socket near door wasn't enough. Bathroom on different floor than the room not the best solution for cudtomers.

The location for this money is probably the biggest value of this hotel. Receptionists were very kind and helpful. I appreciate sink and towel in the room. Window to inner block in my room ensured quiet sleep.

I was going more for location & it was perfect, 2 minut4es to Anne frank house & less than 10 to Dam square, so that transcended the smallness of the room, no hangers or a closet but I was hardly there anyway except to sleep

It wasn't communicated clearly why I needed to leave the key from the room at the reception every time I leave the hotel. No elevator, so it could be a challenge to bring upstairs a luggage.

Good value for this money. The location is great, easy to find. The room is small, but enough for 1 person.

The room was generally clean but could have used new carpet & a fresh coat of paint. The desk attendant was polite, but encouraged me to leave my key there when I was out, odd. Sometimes there was a delay being let into the hotel, that was frustrating.

The bedroom was really small, which wasn't much of a hassle given the nature of my trip, but beware. All the floors have carpets, so come prepared if you're allergic to dust, it's bound to have some. The small beds have a really soft and uncomfortable mattress for my taste. The shared shower room was moldy and it smelled as such.

The staff was really friendly and easy to talk to. They even offered me a local craft beer upon arrival! The shared toilet looked clean every day. The location was great, really close to Dam Square, a key central point in the city from which you can visit a lot of places
